At work they are allowing costumes. I'm not really in costume, but will be wearing a black suit with a burgundy vest with medals, brooches and a red sash. My shirt looks like the one Tom Cruise wore in "Interview With The Vampire. I will be wearing a three tired black cloak lined in red satin that was hand made in the 1920's and a gentleman's hat with red satin ribbons. My shoes are patented leather with "shoe bows" of rhinestones and my socks are black and white. I'll top it off with a vintage umbrella that has a carved wolfs head on it. (Can we say Barnabas Collins)?

This is my only chance to be outrageous in a proper gentleman's adornment. I bought the cloak on eBay and bid $10,000 for it. This will be the first time I have ever worn it. I had it dry cleaned two weeks ago and the cleaner told me that he had never seen anything like it before and since it had amethyst jewels on the collar, he took great care of it and told me that it was entirely hand made and the most interesting garment he had ever seen.

That's my plan, plus I've made deviled eggs for the office lunch...
