im going to florida with my friend marie and her family... when we go to florida it will be over christmas vacay.. and i have no clue what to get for everyone.. there is going to be like me. marie, her mom, her moms bf, 7 other people and 4 other people and another and 2 older people and i have no clue what to get them.. im leaving like 4 days so help.. fast... i was thinking about like maybe making gift bags.. with like candy and stuff .. but i dk.. if u like my idea,, what should i put in there

My fiancee and I and our 18-month old son are spending Christmas alone together this year. She's from a Ukranian-Polish family that always has a big spread that features 12 meatless dishes on Christmas Eve. I told her I'd try and find something special that we've never had before to have on Christmas Eve. Any suggestions?

I work at a department store in a mostly Jewish dominated neighborhood and when I cashier I mostly tell people happy holidays when they buy anything. But if they are buying some Chanukah gift wraps I think it would be pretty cool to tell them happy Chanukah In Hebrew. (I'm Jewish myself but not religious and my family doesn't follow the traditions)

ok no offense but if ur going to answers this question and be like you shouldnt be looking anyway please dont even answer.

christmas prensents are usally every christmas in my parents closet. and when they go out to the store or somehtign i usally go "snooping". i recently did and did not find anywhere in there this one present i want. but i no they have it already.

does anyone ahve any good ideas, or places to look??

**and no we dont have a guest bedroom. so forget that place.

I want to buy something for my wife from Victoria's Secret for Christmas. However, it seems that whenever I buy her clothes we inevitably have to take it back to the store to get the right size. So, would it be ok to buy her a gift card to V.S. and then let her pick out what she wants or should I buy her something knowing that it will probably mean going back for an exchange. Any ideas?

I am from Brazil and we do have lots of people jewish people there...also, we are a very tolerant country when it comes to race and faith... I had lots of jewish friends, but never heard about Hannuka.... Only heard about Yonk Pur (sp?) and some other big one... both are so big over there than there is no school on those days...

But, for sure, the first time ever I heard about Hannuka was when I spen my first X-mas here, in 2004.

Do different countries practice the faith differentely?
