You have a good idea. Put some snacks, tanning lotion, cheap towels you can get at the dollar store, beach balls, books, magazines, beach toys for the kids, moist towelettes, bottle of wine for the older people, rubbers for moms boyfriend and throw in some lube for the old folks, cheap sunglasses for the kids, depends for the two old folks, man the ideas are endless here. just make it fun.

I would call your nearest or best bakery and order red velvet cakes. They are red chocolate Christmas cakes with vanilla frosting.

You can also usually find them in your local grocery store.

They are SOOO delicious. They could enjoy the holiday cake and think of you while you're gone.

I wish someone would give ME one before Christmas. It's just one last thing I would have to bake.

Everyone loves them. They're so pretty too.

This would be a simple gift. Just wrap the cake boxes in pretty Christmas wrap and attach a big red velvet bow on the lid. After all, it IS red velvet cake!

Personally, I think it's a great idea.

It would be cheaper and more unique than a basket of candy.
The cakes only run about 7 dollars and the basket and the candy would cost a lot more.

I would rather get the cake! No contest!

I don't think you have to get something for everybody, just your friend and her mother will be fine. And then maybe get something like a gift basket for the rest of family.

Get them a cross each. Besides being easy to carry, each cross will help reflect the significance of Christmas, i.e. the birth of Christ, our Saviour. May all of you have a Very Merry Christmas!
