I want to buy something for my wife from Victoria's Secret for Christmas. However, it seems that whenever I buy her clothes we inevitably have to take it back to the store to get the right size. So, would it be ok to buy her a gift card to V.S. and then let her pick out what she wants or should I buy her something knowing that it will probably mean going back for an exchange. Any ideas?

I say go for the gift card, with a note attached, saying something like, "this is for you to pick out something that makes you feel incredibly sexy" along with that, add a victoria secret perfume set, or lotion set. Get something non clothing (therefore no size needed) wrap it all up together, that way you are not just getting a gift card, which most women hate. Good luck!

It is ok to buy her a gift card but you should also buy her a gift that shows that you put some extra thought into it. It doesn't have to be an expensive gift but perhaps romantic and thoughtful so she doesn't think that you just bought the gift card as a shortcut. It will balance it out. But I think she'll love the gift card too. But having something to open on Christmas day that feels like a present is fun.

I would like a gift card to VS with a note saying my husband would like to be there at the time of purchase asking when would be a good time. I would like a note about the day I would have when we picked out the little something. A nice lunch or dinner, stopping for a small bunch of flowers she picks out, a few nice crackers, cheeses, and wine to help lighten the mood, followed by a private showing at home though out this time together my husband would tell me things that renewed my desire for him and love that has been tarnished by the everyday living of life. Now on this day I would enjoy my hand being held, soft kisses, doors opened for me, treated like a lady my husband desires, and admires.

I fall into the plan-jane category and I don't like the things you listed either, but what I do like receiving is sunglasses, I love sunglasses. I also have a couple of hobbies so I like getting things for those hobbies (I sew and paint). I am also a sucker for old movies. So, maybe your dad can remember things that fall into those categories. Maybe he can write her a love letter, not on the computer but a well thought out from the heart love letter on nice stationary, and don't forget to make the envelope special too, add a small floating heart necklace not a locket. Sometimes dads have to be boyfriends again because moms need to be girlfriends.

I think that you should do the gift card thing and the both of you go there together to pick out something you'll both like(she will like you to help pick somethin out that you think she'll look sexy in and she can go for the right size)make this a fun thing and exciting time for the both of you!!!

My recommendation would be a nice piece of jewelry or a gift card to a favorite store that she goes to. Take her out to a nice restaurant or something like that. Other than that, I really don't know what else to get her that's basically what I would just get.

Do both. Get her a gift card for the majority of your present to her, then get her something smaller which she's unlikely to need to return from VS, like a pair of sexy thigh high hosiery. Slip the gift card in the package. That way she'll know you're thinking about her and giving her something special, but also aware of her taste in choosing her own lingerie.

I like the idea of the gift card. Then go with her to the store when she picks something out! At the very least, make sure she knows you can't wait to see her wearing what she picked out!

It would be nicer if you buy her something instead of giving her a permit to go buy what she wants. Try getting several things, like perfume, a ring, necklace, earring, or bracelet. Besides, it seems you've already done the Victoria 's Secret gift; it's time you changed - it'll be a better surprise.
