A Scot told me, that they will invade because we are so weak nationally now we need looking after, and need people with some guts in power.

Is this true?
And is G. Brown conspiring with them?

Why is it that people that are Black and Asian only considered Black but a person mixed White and Asian can be considered either White or Asian?

Why the big difference? Growing up I would embrace both sides of my cultures but used to get shot down because I obviously look Black.

I had friends who were White and Asian and they would claim either White or Asian and would be able to embrace both cultures without criticism.

Can I get some feedback about this?

im constantly watching documentaries on tribes and now they live. but do u think one day they will totaly die out? its a tragedy if they do, i think they're amazing people to live without technology and the advances were so used to.

Don Imus is back on the radio. OK. He seemed the
same ol guy, and with 2 Black people by his side.
Now is this real or fake ? Playing the race card, but

They sit here and post guestions about why im such a ***** here on yahoo answers, and i know they both think there better then me, that there prettier, better at everything they do. There are therse chicks in my fashion marketing class who sit a across from me and I hate them. Idk, I just get a vibe from certain people that I don't like. They seem like they are fake and shallow girls and they always look at me funny. I hate those biiitchzzzz. I haven't had any problems with anyone in that class, it's a all girls class. But I think they all have something against me because I'm different from them becaue I don't dress as well as them and I don't have a lot clothes in my closet. I wish I had money to buy clothes but even when I had a job my dad would never let me spend my money on clothes that I would like

Okay, why the label of black and white? I once heard an interview with a female sportscaster (Jayne Kennedy, I believe) who classified herself as a 'caramel cream' and another black female as 'dark chocolate'. I knew a mixed race gentleman who referred to himself as 'cream in coffee'. As a caucasian female, I am deathly pale with light brown hair, but my hub is olive complected with dark hair and dark eyes. I have met people classified as 'black' who are fairer than he is, so what determines 'black or white'? I much prefer the survey form question that asks: Asian, Indo-european, Mediterranean, African and Semetic as a choice of ethnicities rather than a color. Your thoughts please?

I would enjoy musing all day about how life was so much better when we were kids . . . Idioms.

While idioms are more a function of culture than language I feel it was appropriate to address the issue in the lesson

Note: Idioms are not to be confused with slang.

examples:

kick rocks = telling somebody to leave.
beat that [p..ssy] up = to have pasionate sex
ride or die = to be loyal (not an ultimatum)
put it in the air = to smoke a blunt

What distinguishes idioms from slang is that an idiom uses ordinary words often in a metaphorical or allegorical context. Whereas slang involves the uses of an original word.

ex. words like krunk, diss (insult), chickenhead, ect are slang because they are not part of the standard english lexicon. - as opposed to referring to a car as a whip; which is part metaphor and part synecdoche (a whip is what the steering wheel was called when automobiles were first invented)

As a black person, I think Al Sharpton is the biggest two faced racist Ive ever seen. He wants to monitor Don Imus, but the loser cant even single out some of the gansta rappers like 50 cent who are worse. He doesnt speak for the majority of the Black race. And that goes for those so called wanna be New Black Panthers.

Here in Spain its not illegal to go around saying racist comments. You really have to much freedom of speech and te Northern Spaniards take it out of hand.
When we (my city madrid) went to play in Bilbao (it was bilbao against real madrid) all of the fans started throughing banana peels at our player babalu for being african and making monkey chants.................
I was very annoyed and left the game, but it happens everywhere. Once I rode the train to work and this white man was going on to this black guy telling him that blacks and gays are a waste which I certainly dont believe.
I think its the immigration going on here,there is alot of discrimination against mexicans, colombians and africans and peruvians becuase everyone believes they are illegal. I think this is the man cause for the racism,but what makes it worst is people ignore it or laugh with them.
Anyways do you think people especially at football games should be fined for such actions?
