I’m a Chinese guy in China. I don’t know much about the US, but I have been here in Yahoo Answers for 3 wks, b/c I believe Americans are very nice, humorous, and knowledgeable, and I want to know more about your culture, politics, and etc. but somehow I feel scared right now when I was shocked by the following page
http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=Ap4cjr9remlp7DGAEnBaOwTsy6IX?qid=20070228155536AAY2OE5&show=7#profile-info-AA10210328
(please click). After reading that page, would you please tell me should I stay here, or should I switch to “Yahoo Answers China” (It’s a similar service operated by Yahoo in China) I may sound like an idiot, but I am really curious, if most or a large percentage of Americans don’t like Chinese, why should I stay here ? Perhaps in the past 3 wks people didn’t like my questions or answers at all, but I didn’t know that and I was so enthusiastic in participating. How is the race situation in America ? Probably I have been blindly thinking I am welcomed here ? I don’t know. Serious answers only please.

"you're a sexist piglette. re-think your answer to the boxer question"
Do you think that I am?
A boxer girl asked if being a girl boxer was manly and a turn off. I said it was manly to find another hobby like rollerskating. Does that make me a sexist piglette? I don't think so she wanted my opinion.

Today, a white guy in my chemistry class wass being an ***, so I told him to shut up. He told be to go back to " arab-land"( I'm not even arab). Didn't white people come to the US as foreigners as well; and just stick a flag in it and steal it from the Native Americans? If so, why do many of them have a tendancy to talk as if non-whites invaded their land?

considering the "white man" nearly wiped them out, forced them off there land and onto reservations where they are still kept to this day. would be fair to give all groups recognition right

I understand that different races have had trouble with eachother in the past and present. I understand that some people feel put down, and I feel so sorry, I wish i could do something. But I need a bit of help.
Lately my English teacher has made us read stories about racism and white idealism and feminism and they all talk about how white people are to blame and keep them down. I'm NOT debating this, but I just feel really sad. I lived in Northern ontario my whole life. I onyl saw one black person, and one asian family MY ENTIRE LIFE. But now I'm in the states for college, and I have to read all these things and i just feel so sad.... I do genealogy, m family never had any slaves or anything... I treat everyone the same because everyone is a person and everyone is important.... but the more I read the more I feel like, becuase I'm white and I'm not heavily feminist that people will hate me for soemtihng I've never done. I'd never hurt anyone.... but I feel so hurt.... how can I cope?

We are in a real crisis in America. This country has become an empire and has placed itself to be at the top of that empire. We are seeing the worst of human conditions and the worst of human thought. I want to gear the attention of people to this Mexican wall that they are building. How can we be doing this/ How are we dividng ourseles to our neighbors who have brought more good than bad? How can we become the lowest human beings and just divide ourselves from people? We have become a society and I must say a culture that has revolved around discrimiantion and segragation for the Hispanic Peoples, The Arab Peoples, The Black Peoples, The Chinese Peoples, and The Native Americans. We are crushing the dream of our forefathers who prounonced "Freedom and Justice For All" not only for the American People but all people. May God Help Us.

Just a question from another user has spurned me to do this... They asked if they thought it was right that 2 gay men shown clearly to be going upstairs to bed on a soap at 7.30pm was acceptable.. I'm thinking, it's becoming very familiar on TV now but is this right? And do we tell our children it's absolutely fine. I thought we were put on this earth for reproduction. I'm not prejudiced in any way and everyone has a choice to do with their life exactly what they want - but should we force in onto children at such a young vulnerable age?
