I'd love to go on holidays to America. Especially how you are all talking about Australians!

The loss of their aboriginal people. It was worse than in America. The few that survived lost all their land and were absorbed into big cities. The Bushmen only survived so long because no one wanted the land where they live, but they are disappearing too.

I think of downtown Sydney, beaches, and partying and vomiting until a lung comes up. I think that Australians from my experience are friendly and funny people who for the most part are laid back.

How do? I'm not a yank, although we often get lumped in with them (*spits*) yeah I'm from Canada! We get a lot of Amerk media up here though and basically they think that everything is just red desert, and kangaroos hop in front of the Sydney Opera House... just like they think that here in Canada everything is white tundra, and polar bears roam in front of the CN Tower.

Australians- Nice people, accent is attractive
Australia- Lots of poisonous snakes and other creatures I don't care for. I'm not an "outdoor" girl.

I met a bunch of Aussie sailors when I was in Hawaii. They were good-looking, gentlemenly, and fun -- not to mention the adorable accents! So when I think of Australia, I think of those guys very fondly.

The southern hemisphere's 'america'... tough, individualist people, independent , resilient, determined, and of course, those amazing animals, and that reef ... god.. what an extraordinary compilation of variety..!!..i have a question...how the hell do ya keep from gettin lost with out a north star? :)
