leeches are small parasitic "eel- like things." that live in water, and feed on blood. They attatch themselves to animals, and then suck the blood out of them. NO they aren't good. At one time doctors thought they were medically benificial- George Washington died from a "leech" cure.
To leech means to attatch oneself to something. On a commercial of drugs this would probably be talking in reference to addiction.

Leeches are like slugs. They are black gooey worm-like creatures. They find a warm-blooded creature, attach themselves to the skin, and suck the blood. It's a mildly painful sensation.
Hundreds of years ago, they were used to help "cure" diseases by sucking the unhealthy blood out of a sick patient (unfortunately, doctors hadn't yet discovered blood transfusions, so the "bad" blood wasn't replaced with healthy blood, and often the patient was just left weaker).
The commerical was trying to point out that some teens will do whatever is "popular" or "cool," even if it is something as bizarre and pointless and idiotic as applying leeches to themselves... or doing drugs.

Leeches are little worm-like sluggy gross things that live off of sucking the blood out of anything that has blood. They are bad because they are a parasite. They suck and live off other people's or animals blood. Like mosquito only bigger and grosser! The comparison to drugs is the ridiculous idea that if your friends were putting leeches on them, would you do it too? If your friends were doing drugs, would you do it too, just to fit in?... No. You can't get high off of putting leeches on you.

There's the worm like creature that sucks blood and provides some type of therapy for certain problems .
Then there's the human leech that tries to suck money out you and takes advantage of you .
