I'm from New York, and they don't understand my accent. Sometimes they make fun of my accent, but I could say the same thing on their country accent. They claim they don't have an accent (whatever).

Why do some people get upset by people who speak Spanish, or Spanish in general? I don't mean when someone's language gap prevents them from functioning properly in society or at a job, but people who genuinely get angry off at Spanish speakers. Why is this?

Im a single mother who is barely making it check to check and am in the low income class level. I have been blessed out of my socks to be able to have a great deal on my rent here in Santa Barbara California. There seems to be 2 classes of people here. The very rich, and the homeless. I am the poorest person I know. On 1 side, Im absolutley thankful I get to live in such a beautiful area. Im 2 blocks from the beach, the palm trees, the weather, its all fantastic. The city has culture, fun things to do, lots of great opportnities for my daughter. The flip side of it is, the people out here are different than we are, my daughter gets alot of pressure from upper class friends that are into material things, and life is just generally different and I feel like I stick out like a sore thumb. Sometimes I feel that we would feel better if we moved to an area that people our own class range and we could identify and blend better. My daughter wouldnt feel so different. I cant make up my mind!!

Jesus, I have prayed sooooo hard for your blessing to remove this cross of demon booze from my shoulders. Everyday I pray in the midst of an AA meeting and have even seen your "burning bush". Have I been forsaken? By ignoring my plight with demon booze are you saying that I must use my brain to solve this problem? Please show me a sign Jesus! I go the latrine EVERYDAY and give my tithe. i see some women running around naked but men aint doing nothing because you guys dont give a toss and take the advantage of a womens beauty, if you are one of those people do something useful and tell these women to put some clothes on if you really "respect women"....i mean im not intelligent or anything but theres definetly something wrong with your heads if u think its ok to see other women naked that are not your wife how degrading.

I happen to be one of those people...on occassions when i feel confident enough, its is a clear statement to me, but i'm not gonna tell you, i want to know what you think. Don't be f^c"king rude tho cos i'll get angry, i know there will be some passionate responses (maybe that's another good reason to do it!!)

What are your thoughts?
You are an attractive white girl wearing a thong in the beach. Of course, you will be noticed by all kinds of men. You notice many white guys looking at you. And you notice a regular looking asian man looking at you. What do you think? Do you feel the same? Or you don't like it!! I am just curious as to what you girls think in this situation.
