Did you hate when they picked on you, when they tried to act all superior and stuff?
I really hated that, but I prayed that when they got into High School or College someone would be smart enough to kick their @SS.

First she's interviewed by Marie Claire magazine, extolling that we should not change to fit in, how the media tries to change people, and how we should be happy with ourselves. Then she gets plastic surgery. Gee, thanks. Is anybody else really, really offended and upset by this?

What I mean is that nobody gives a flying f*ck about us unless we fall into that stereotype as 'having bigger packages'. Doesn't that piss of anyone else here? Why are we 'cool' all of a sudden?

It seems so common but why is it so? Are people voyeurs viewing themselves? Or is it seeing from a different angle?

i think we should bring back slavery as a way to pay debt. much as the way the ancient greeks did.

there would be gov. regulations on how to treat your property (much like our animal laws) and think of all the homeless people we could help

What can we do to make people respect us? I work so hard just to get an ounce of respect. I know many others do all. Tell me, please, what you do that gets you respect from the majority culture.

My neighbors are from Afghanistan, and we've always gotten along well. We share carpooling duty, and on of their young sons frequently comes to our home to play games. Today their mom picked everyone up and walked my daughter to our front door with her three-year-old twin boys. After chatting for a moment, I reached down and touseled the hair of one of the twins, and said, "Hi, cutie." As soon as I did, the other twin quickly put his hands up to cover the top of his own head. I laughed, thinking he was just being shy, but then he backed away and started toward home, saying over and over something in their language I couldn't understand. It was then that I remembered they are Muslim, and I think I now recall something about it being bad to touch the top of their heads. Does anyone know for certain about this? His mom brushed it off and chuckled when I said I was sorry, but I'm still wondering.

It's pathetic, really. I was on a particular website today and just surfing the different posts that people put up; it's obvious that despite all the efforts being done to do away with racial prejudice, some people are still narrowminded and ignorant. Why is it that some people harbor so much hate within themselves for a particular race? Sometimes within their own race? I'm really interested in people's responses....
