HOMOSEXUALITY & SOCIAL JUSTICE

We need to learn to be open minded enough to discuss this issue based on rational grounds. I do not feel that homosexuality is a manifastation of a deficit in character or emotional or mental ability. A person who is gay or has gay tendencies may be "wired" differently from birth. I know this is a throw back to the nature versus nurture argument.

We must come to grips with the reality that the human sexuality is the most complex of any animal. This is probably because we as humans have the most complex and higly evolved minds. Therefore, unlike most species our sexual envolvement is not simply an act of procreation but it is also an expression of love and communication on a very intimate level. Sometimes our interest or connection with others does not come in the package of the opposite gender.

In addition, the psychologists "Freud and Erikson" suggest that the lines human sexuality are not clearly marked. (Most people are not 100% heterosexual or 100% homosexual) Most people are some where right or left of center along a continuem.

Culture, tradition and religion has created taboos that have discriminated against certain groups based on unrational grounds. We all know that homosexuality will never be normal or normative behavior in western and especial American culture. However, homosexuality should not be viewed as an act or a transgression against God and Humanity.

I know that many of you are going to tow the line with a literalistic interpretation of scripture from the Old Testament to the New Testament. However, I will caution you, that the same scriptures were used to justify African/African American oppression from Leviticus, to the Letters of Paul. So I do not think that we should use, misuse and abuse the Sacred scriptures to justify anyone elses oppression; homosexuals.

To me the topic homosexuality is not a issue of sin, but it is a issue of SOCIAL JUSTICE. GOD'S PEOPLE ARE BEING OPPRESSED THROUGH DRACONIAN LAWS THAT PROHIBIT THEM FROM LEGAL MARRIAGE AND THE ABILITY TO ADOPT CHILDREN IN MOST STATES.

WE NEED TO SHARE GOD'S BELOVED KINGDOM TO ALL WHO ARE OPPRESS AND THIS INCLUDES HOMOSEXUALS.

“Let justice roll down like waters and righteousness like a mighty stream.” ---Amos 5:24

1 John 4:6
Everyone who sins breaks the law; in fact, sin is lawlessness. But you know that he appeared so that he might take away our sins. And in him is no sin. No one who lives in him keeps on sinning. No one who continues to sin has either seen him or know him.

Why I wonder do they see her as still a man and
clearly she is a woman and she is a she
and yet she
is convicted of murder and sent to a mans prison and
she is brutally gang raped and it is so horrible and
very sad I cried and cried
And she was taken to a hospital
and the public defenders from Law and Order go and
see her in the hospital
It was so horrible and it makes me sick that our courts and
the law see her as a he and she is a woman without any
doubt in my mind and I am so angry' and mad'
at our Justice System it is so screwed up thinking that
male to females are still male arrrrg I am angry
and somebody needs to fix the dam system

I do not want to see a transgendered woman or a
transgendered man end up in a womans prison and
vice versa she ends up in a mans prison is very wrong
Our law makers should look into this and this
Law and Order I saw was Fallacy 2003 and so shocking
to see this and I am a woman myself

We are having a debate in school...Should teaching tolerance to homosexuality be taught in schools? Why and why not?

To the homosexual people that see this question...if you were still in school or if you still are...would you want to have your sexual orientation taught to your fellow students? why and why not?

Do you believe this can cause stereotyping and more bullying and violence? Should this be taught at home? Can tolerance be taught?

So I just broke up with a guy 2 months ago. We stay in contact and are still kinda friends. He cheated on me twice in our 2 years together and this was the last time for me. Hes leaving/moving next week out of country and we are meant to see each other before then. The chemistry is still there and I think something sexual could happen, would do you think? do it or not?

He's my best friend and he knew from the start that i wanted to be more than friends. he hints every now and then that he wants to be more than friends. I love him sooooo much. At times i just want to kiss him and love him. He told me he loves me and he loves my personally and he also said you could do so much better than me and why would you even want to be with me. i truly do love him and he's the only guy i would want to date at my school. I'm gay and he's bi, i guess... so should push things further or just look somewhere else???

The news said a guy was sentenced to 20 years in prison for doing a sheep. If you was a sheep would you rather be done or end up on the supper table? They shoot them in the head , hang them by their hind legs then cut their throat.

I'm out to my family and that's it, I don't think anyone else has a clue. But now that I've accepted my bisexuality, how can I be more comfortable in flirting with girls?

I really want to get to know this one girl, but I'm so nervous to flirt with her. She works at a store and I've talked to her a couple times along with the constant eye flirting, so I'm sure she knows I'm interested. I'm not sure if she's gay/bi. Should I try to be her friend first, or just plain ask her out?

Thank you all in advance :-)

I know that I don't stand a chance around half of them. They have their lives established and know what they want. They are mature whereas I still go to college and don't even have a full time job.

How the heck do I quit fantasizing about them? Do you think they can tell if I like them even though I try to go out of my way NOT to flirt?

In in Nursing school and the majority of class is from one african contry or another. The two people who sit next to me have really bad BO and it really offends my nose and is distracting to me when im trying to do my work. Not to mention its is hot as hell in class and the air doesn't come on untill, april 15. My mom was telling me africans don't wear deoderant. She said i should say something to the teacher about it and just ask her to make an anouncement to the whole class about. Because on the first day of class she said if you dont wear deodorant today is the day to start. so i don't know what to do. I dont want to offend anyone if it is like a religous thing or something, i dont know someone help me
