1 John 4:6
Everyone who sins breaks the law; in fact, sin is lawlessness. But you know that he appeared so that he might take away our sins. And in him is no sin. No one who lives in him keeps on sinning. No one who continues to sin has either seen him or know him.

"Beloved, let us love one another; for love is of God; and everyone that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.

He that loveth not, knoweth not God; for God is love.

In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.

Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another." - I John 4:8-11

You are speaking of 1 John 3:4 and it goes like this...
Everyone who practices sin is also practicing lawlessness, and so sin is lawlessness. You know too that that one was made manifest to take away our sins, and there is no sin in him. Everyone remaining in union with him does not practice sin; no one that practices sin has either seen him or come to know him. And this is the answer you're looking for... 1 John 3:7-8...
Little children, let no one mislead you; he who carries on righteousness is righteous, just as that one is righteous. He who carries on sin originates with the Devil, because the Devil has been sinning from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was made manifest, namely, to break up the words of the Devil.
It's pretty self-explanatory as it reminds us that we cannot practice sin and expect to get away with it.
If the laws of the land were the same as the laws of God, there were be no need for housing projects, just about everybody would be in prison or too poor for housing as they'd just be paying one fine after another for breaking the laws. It just goes to show how far away from perfection we really are...

yes! And that is ONE of the reasons I KNOW he is OK with me being gay! I accepted him, and he accepts me. And since I live in him and cannot keep sinning, He must not think what I am doing is sin! Very clear! I hope that things are as clear to you, so you can eventually come to understand and live in him as well!

John 3:16 For god so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. This verse says it all whosoever means everyone gay or str8.

I suggest you read 1 Corinthians 13:1 to 13:13. And apply it to your life.
