I made this poem in high school on bisexuality and would just like your constructive criticism and opinion. The real title is
"Come Out, Come Out, Wherever You Are" but I changed it to
"Not Ready" because the first title didn't convey what I wanted.
Btw its a sonnet minus iambic pentameter written in Shakespearean form.
"Not Ready"
Coming out is an eternal process,
A hide an seek with a self-destruction.
My lies sum up into one word, one truth.
Feelings change in time, I must twist my words.
It's been accepted by the media,
A deceitful glamorized portrayal.
It's a study of people all around.
It's my rollercoaster of emotions.
This crazy double standard, either or.
It's a social torture, a K.O.D.
Scared to death the word is unbearable.
I'm not greedy, confused or in a phase.
A face up to a secret well hidden.
It's not a choice, nor does it have a face.
