I'm 19 years old & just getting new to the dating world, really. I use yahoo personals & singlesnet, but I have a hard time finding anyone around my age. I'm not ugly nor am i some kind of monster/freak/weirdo, but it seems like I can never find someone around my age, even when I go to clubs & such. If anything I'm just a quiet, shy type, which seems so taboo in this society. They (those around my age) all seem uninterested, & the only interested parties are old farts (40+) that I wouldn't touch with a ten foot pole. Most people around my age won't even give me a chance, I generally speaking prefer 18-25 but I keep attracting older types. How can I stop it & attract who I want?

Why have i made so many friends since I came on here. At the start I didnt know anyone and now I recognise quite a lot of people. plus a lot have become friends, is it because we naturally look after each other and sympathise with each others problems.

Why do straight people come to this forum? I find, most of the time, that they harass the people who are asking questions. Don't they have anything better to do with their time? There are several other forums that they could visit. It makes sense to me not to go to a forum that you have noting in common with. Why can't people understand that ALL people are not alike?

I do not dislike straight people; I have many straight friends, and I don't know any gay people that dislike straight people other than the harassing ones.

People need to understand that there are bad people in all orientations and races and there are good people. We all have to share this world, so lets all try to get along with each other.

conner_conner11 and dream_hawk22 are their names.
i think they do.and they will ending up hurting their current partners.you can just cut the sexual tension between them with a knife.

Do most men walk in a masculine way and most women walk in a feminine way? I understand that if someone has an exaggerated swagger or swish that they are probably doing it consciously, but do most people subconsciously walk according to their gender? Because I would think walking just means putting one foot in front of the other and I think it's odd that genders walk differently unless they are *trying* to be seductive or something.

I only ask because it is hard for me to tell how someone is walking unless it's obvious.

so.. my boyfriend is going on a great vacation in about a month.. he has decided to go on the slim fast diet.. drinking 2 shakes.. 1 in the morning.. 1 at lunch.. and a light dinner.. moslt to loose love handles.. he's in no way over weight.. just says he wants to be "thin". Should I feel as if I need to loose weight too? I am about 10-15lbs over weight.. in great shape.. very happy with myself.. should I take the same approach.. or just assume that he's ok with my size? I go to the gym 3-4 times a week for cardiio/biking etc.. Thanks everyone!

I'm in fact, a FTM (female to male transsexual) but everyone thinks I'm gay. I'm very short (I'm 5'1") I have a "gay voice" whatever THAT means. I guess I have a slightly "tenor" range. Definitely not feminine but not overly masculine and deep either. My favorite movie is a musical (Rent). My favorite dog is a Yorkie terrier. I have been told I have flamboyant facial and hand expressions, and I get excited in my speech (something apparently straight guys don't do too?) I like to do interior decorating, and I'm in the healthcare field. I can't fix a car, I hate football, and I'm a pacifist and not into violence or aggression or "marking my territory" at all.
On the flip side, I drink beer, I like porn, I like woodworking and carpentry. I like home remodeling projects, I'm good at science and math, I abhor the color pink, sometimes I wear my clothes straight out of the laundry basket all wrinkly, and I can be a bit of a slob at times.

Everyone assumes I'm gay, should I

But i really dont know what to do and i need help quickly cause he's freaking me out

I see coming out as a process, first acknowledging your sexual feelings (and sexual orientation) to yourself, then to others. However, some people see it differently.

To you, which of the following best represents "coming out?"
(List order is random.)

1. Acknowledgement to yourself of same-sex attraction.
2. Acknowledgement to yourself that you are gay/lesbian/bi.
3. First same-sex sexual encounter.
4. First falling in love/significant crush on same-sex person.
5. First disclosure to another person that you are gay/lesbian/bi.
6. Disclosure to family (parents/siblings) that you are gay/lesbian/bi.
7. Introducing family to same-sex partner.
8. Disclosure to employer/co-workers that you are gay/lesbian/bi.
9. Attending gay pride celebration or gay political rally.
10. Becoming socially involved in the gay community.
11. Other (please specify).
