Why have i made so many friends since I came on here. At the start I didnt know anyone and now I recognise quite a lot of people. plus a lot have become friends, is it because we naturally look after each other and sympathise with each others problems.

That is very likely. When people share the same problem, they can sympathise with each other because they each know what the other goes (or has gone) through.

Yes, we do look for others who we can identify with. This place is abuzz with so many different people from all corners of the world, and there's always an element of surprise... you know... the who will you meet today type? I enjoy hanging around here. Sometimes it is great fun, sometimes there are serious issues with people. But all in all, birds of a feather...

you learn a lot from people by reading their responses to questions. i really like some of the stuff i read here, and i'm straight. this is the most interesting part of answers, and i started with philosophy and travel.

I've "met" quite a few people on here whose answers I enjoy and who I regularly email and keep in touch with.....one can never have too many friends!
