I'm 19 years old & just getting new to the dating world, really. I use yahoo personals & singlesnet, but I have a hard time finding anyone around my age. I'm not ugly nor am i some kind of monster/freak/weirdo, but it seems like I can never find someone around my age, even when I go to clubs & such. If anything I'm just a quiet, shy type, which seems so taboo in this society. They (those around my age) all seem uninterested, & the only interested parties are old farts (40+) that I wouldn't touch with a ten foot pole. Most people around my age won't even give me a chance, I generally speaking prefer 18-25 but I keep attracting older types. How can I stop it & attract who I want?

What is your goal?
Perhaps you attract older guys because your personality... they may find you serious and mature for your age, so...
Perhaps you should, armed with your 10 ft pole if you want, ask the next 40+ guy who gets interested in you what does he find attractive in you. Hey. They are older. They have lived. They know. Don't turn them down at first, I find that unwise. I don't mean that you should go and have sex with them, you could become friends with one of them. And perhaps, just perhaps, these "old farts" can give you some advice on how to attract younger guys.
