My brother's gay and the other day it just got me thinking about whether I was into girls. Growing up I'm more comfortable around girls; have more friends who are girls. But I also felt a bit jealous if I found out my friend was going to see another friend or something. (Which I guess is normal to the extent if you're really good friends). Being the youngest in my family I think I was slightly jealous cause I didn't have anyone around and at my age who I could relate to.
There's hype about lesbians, gays issues to this day (marriage and adoption in particular) and I was wondering and thinking about how comfortable I'd feel to going out with a girl-which I think I'm fine about it. I'm open to the idea. But I'm into guys (and have since I hit puberty). Does that make me a bisexual if I'm comfortable with it? I've never kissed a girl so I guess I'd have to find out and see if I feel anything
Also what's the 'common age' bisexuals and gays are aware of your sexuality? My brother was 18.

Girls or Guys..Please.. what does this mean?
Some my crush sends me this after I send her a dozen roses for Vday: "Iam sorry for being confused about things but i just want you to know that I completely care about you and really do miss you..Ps will you be by Valentine?" She has been somewhat MIA ..lots of mixed signals from her...She claims she wants to see me in a few weeks when I return..BUT I think she'll just go MIA again..What are your thoughts on the message n her thinking..I was the first girl she ever slept with.. What is she confused about?

As most of you have probably heard, Tim Hardaway made some pretty Brash comments about a person or persons being gay in the NBA. He was quoted saying:

"First of all, I wouldn't want him on my team. And second of all, if he was on my team, I would, you know, really distance myself from him because, uh, I don't think that is right. I don't think he should be in the locker room while we are in the locker room."
Among numerous other comments.
Now, I'm not gay but I have no problem with someones prefrences and feel that these comments were uncalled for and were very disrespectful. To me they were very offensive.

So here's my question. How do you feel about the comments that he made, and why do you feel that way. I just want to see if anyone else feels the same way, and if they have diffrent views on the subject, i would like their reasoning so i can better understand both sides.

Honest and truthful answers are appreciated. Thank you.

Why are "bisexuals" (I'm not sure I like the word), ostracized by the homosexual community?

I feel many people think of people who have sex with both genders are "uncle toms".

Thoughts? Feelings?

An email I sent to "truth 6" in absolute outrage. Her profile says something about how her and her family are "here to help". Please help stop these people from posting, especially in the circumstances desribed below.

Subject: Help?

Body: You don't help people... you're spreading diseases of hate and bigotry. Stop replying to LGBT posts as a salvationist or I will report you.

That poor kid (K9 - the tin dog) is in serious question over his sexuality, and you tell him that Satan would love it if he was gay? I feel sorry for your kids and those who have the unfortunate circumstance of knowing you personally. Then again, they are probably all like you: hateful, naive, bigoted, and ignorant.

God save you.

The definition of gay is:
1 a : happily excited : MERRY b : keenly alive and exuberant : having or inducing high spirits
2 a : BRIGHT, LIVELY b : brilliant in color
3 : given to social pleasures; also : LICENTIOUS

All of these are stereotypes of homosexuals. My question is: Why does the homosexual community define themselves as gay? And does this hurt the homosexual community?

Who decided "gay" was good? Why not f*g*t? The definition of f*g*t is: 1. A bundle of twigs, sticks, or branches bound together.
2. A bundle of pieces of iron or steel to be welded or hammered into bars.

The term "*****" comes from the times when homosexuals were burned like a bundle of twigs.

How is this any worse than "gay”?

Why not fairy?

I would really like some constructive feedback from both homosexuals and heterosexuals (not straights because that implies that homosexuals are crooked).

Do the labels we give ourselves affect how people perceive us?

And is Homosexual better?

I am a lesbian who has been with my partner for 9 months. The problem is my partner doesn't want to meet my parents. My parents are really old fashioned and do not believe in our lifestyle. They haven't disowned me or anything they just ask me to be respectful around them. Should I be upset that my partner refuses to meet them?

BTW I believe it is NOT a choice.

Even if it were, isn't our society all about freedom of choice, as long as we do no harm?
