You can't believe everything you see on tv and in the movies. Those porns are all SO fake! As if she would let you leave the lights on.
Just kidding. Like most of the other answers here, porn actors are constantly tested by medical professionals. Most reputable pornography producers will not allow an actor to work without a test that has a specific recent date of approval on it.
The main reason scenes are done without a condom is for cinematic effect that doesn't really require an explanation here. The entire sex scene is done is several pieces or 'takes' as there is usually only one camera used and the rest comes together in the editing room. So quite often, when you see angle of actors faces there is actually no 'real' sex taking place during that particular take.
For lower budget pornographic productions they either really do use condoms, or the actors take their lives into their own hands without a doctor's clean bill of health.

Consumers don't want to see condoms. They want it raw and dirty. So, that means these people get tested like every damn day for HIV and all the others.
But, as for that big HIV outbreak a couple years back, something always slips through the cracks. But it's the nature of the job. Just like a firefighter, porn stars inherit certain risks.
But it looks great on camera.

Well, since the 80's I see condoms all the time and I really don't like it. If you watch the channels on satellite you will see lots of condoms. I'm sure I'm not the only one who thinks it looks better without a coat on and that is why they don't use them so much. It isn't exactly safe.

That's a good question. Why is there porn period? How do these people go home to their parents? Showing their work isn't like Geiorge Orwell showing his mother 1984 or like Thomas A. Dorsey showing his mother "Precious Lord Take My Hand". Haven't they any pride? Look at the example they're settting for the kids? How can they attend PTA's?

according to the laws porn stars are supposed to use protection. the porn industry has a list of people that are infected and it is checked on a regular basis if your name shows up on the list you are not allowed to shoot movies if it shows up twice on the list for an std you are blackballed from the movies. alot of the intercourse scenes are shot with condoms just the "money shots" are shot alot of the times without. and the majority of the times thats done with special effects. unless the actor and actress signs a waiver stating otherwise and they are both found clean of all stds.

Well, because it wouldn't sell. How many people want to get off watching people have sex with a condom? It takes away from the fantasy. Also, porn stars are tested all the time. Doesn't mean they're clean, but they are tested a bunch.

Because it is everyones fantasy to have sex without a condom, and no one is going to watch their fantasy WITH a condom! It feels better without, and with all those story line porns, who has time to plan, be careful and have safe sex and use a condom when all you want to do is f*ck your hot neighbor, your teacher, or you sisters slutty friend.

Every actor /Actress is constantly tested as long as they are negative the camera rolls on. HOwever there are allot of films that do show safe condom use, bear in mind that the disclaimer on the package says "REDUCES RISK" not ELIMINATES RISK. take care and hope that answers it for ya
