I have performed surgery on both black and white people in the hospital I work in. We may have different skin color, but inside, we are no different. I think it is just fine! We are the same species, and think of the beautiful cafe au lait skin their child may have! It is time to get past the color of skin, and realize that we are all the same. If you were of another race, you would have the same emotions, feelings, and desires that you do now. Does your skin "feel" white or black? When you have a tan or a sunburn, does it change the person that you are?

Should is a judgement term, and in the case of human relations, and what individuals choose to do, has no relevancy.
Look around you! I'm not sure where you've been, but whites and blacks have been getting together, having children, and getting married, for quite some time now. Welcome to reality!

I am a black woman who has been in a nine year relationship with a white man, as far as I'm concerned our child has the best of both worlds. Being proud of your race and who you are is important, but that should not mean you should want people who are of different colour to you to have a less fortunate lifestyle.
A white guy said to me once, that if everyone was in a mixed relationship, the world would become one colour - Yeah And....is he saying that would only be OK if it was a white race?
Please how boring would the world be.........Culture, science so much to learn and enjoy......don't be ignorant and starve your brain of exotic fruit.

It is always good for people who have children together to get married- regardless of the race of the parents- the child is still a child and deserves a two parent home.

I have one mixed grandchild and another on the way. The only way to really end all the racial tension in the world is to remove the race lines. This can only be done by intermarrying and producing mixed race children.

People should be able to marry whomever they choose. It is irrelevant what anyone else thinks, unless they are the one whom you are trying to marry. People should stop trying to legislate personal choice..If it not race that is used to separate people then it is religion, if not religion then class, if not class then sexual preference and on and on and on. There are no "pure" white people in America nor are there any "pure" black people in America anyway, we are already mixed .

I'd be a hypocrit if I thought it was wrong as my bf is white and I'm obviously black. People are people regardless of racial makeup.
But as a side note... I hope you're not starting a comparison between interracial marriage and same-sex marriage (assumed such as your Q is in the GLTB section). It's apples and oranges. I'm not against it, but it's not the same for so many reasons and I'm getting tired of people comparing the gay movement to racial movements.....
