Gay people are getting more rights and more social acceptance currently. And "officialy" it is getting better, since at least we are not having stones throwed at us or being killed for being gay. (Well in most civilised places at least).
I can't help, but to relate this situation with the black community. Black people were treated so badly, they were considered "animals" but now it is ok. Well not ok, but like us, they dont get VERY bad time anymore, and lets admit it they can be "openly" black and face less trouble than us.
My question is the following: Will we ever reach the state where we can be openly gay as much as being "openly" black and the f.ag word will sound as shocking as the N word? Will there ever be a time where parents will find out their child is gay, and accept it as much as if their child just told them that he/she likes rock music? Because, lets be honest now, we dont fight as hard...and more important a gay person is less likely to attack someone physically

Has anyone ever asked him directly?
Also, umm..it says NO WHERE in the Bible in Jesus's or God's OWN words anything about homosexuality. All the homosexuality quotes and scriptures are written by apostles and other people.

I'm a transsexual and since my transition, I've gotten more and more depressed. BEFORE anyone starts telling me about God and how he's trying to tell me I made a bad decision, blah blah blah..don't go there. I'm HAPPY with my transition, it's the treatment by society that has me feeling this way, not my own decision. I've been transitioning for going on 3 years now, and this whole time, I have been single. I can't find anyone who will entertain the idea of dating me, and it's always because of something I lack physically...for gay men I lack a penis, for straight women, I lack a penis, for lesbians, I lack a "lesbian" look , instead I look male, for straight guys, I lack the ability to look like a woman. I can't win, and I can't find anyone who can break out of their brainwashed stereotypical thinking of gender roles. I've come to realize how cruel society can be, and also how ignorant. I can't believe I've existed in a society like this for this long. Sometimes I wish I wasn't.

There are certain things I don't understand the debate about gay marriage.

To People who defend gay marriage: Why are stuck upon the word "marriage"? Isn't equal rights enough?

To people who oppose gay marriage: If you intention is to protect the institution of marriage, why are you opposed to giving gays equal rights?

This is my solution. Let's abandon the use of the term "marriage" by the government. As far as the state and law is concerned, the issues are legal and the term "domestic partnerships" or "unions" could be used for both homosexual and heterosexual marriages.

Each individual church/organization/group can have their own defnition of what marriage is, and of course others need not care about them at all.

What do you think?

Read in the paper today that firemen got sanctioned beucase they never atteneded a gay pride march. Some reasons included religious grounds but hey, that's they're opinion and as long as they do not enforece it on me that's cool.

I'm gay and I'm with the firemen; why the hell are they so "proud"? What do they do; sleep with men? Well congratulations... so do a hell of a lot of women. You don't here straight people going on "pride" marches.

I could imagine the scene now; the firemen being groped by pathetic people who have nothing in their life except being "proud" they're gay.

I'm not saying that they're isn't discrimination against gay people because they're is. However, dressing up as a nun and prancing around the street isn't the answer... what do you think?

So my bi curious(I assume)neighbor who lives down the street kissed me(Note:after a few drinks)&proceeded to express that she had a crush on me&that she had kissed other girls be4&now was ready for a relationship&could see herself with me.(Later even expressed ensecurity in keeping my intrst) At the time I was leaving a relationship&was not looking for a thing. Not to mention surprised by her advancement cuz I thought she was straight..My crazy x found out about us.created drama .contacted her family.threaten & assault her..I didnt see or speak to her for 2mnths to avoid her from having further problems.Nor did she contact me out of fear of my x finding out. After crzy x was hauled away I informed her & immediately she asked to hangout the next day.The day went so well as previous days We spent the entire day together But that night after drinking at her request we had sex(1st) next morning she left&has not anwsered me about h

My partner has 3 kids so it's hard for us to get out a lot and meet people. Since we don't really have family here we are looking for some people that are family oriented like us...... It would be nice to have dinner parties or get the kids together for playdates or have a network of gay and lesbian friends........ does anyone know where you can find people like that?
