Could you help me with this situation? I had co-signed for an ex-lover to purchase a vehicle about three years ago. I haven’t heard from this person in over two years. I came home Wednesday night to find the vehicle sitting in my driveway, with the keys, and the registration in it. There wasn’t a note or a message or anything.
I called the finance company and they had told me that the payments where always made on time except for the last three months. I also found out that the registration was three months behind as well as a few tickets on it.
So, I made the payments to the finance company to catch it up. I am taking care of the registration and tickets. As well as added the vehicle to my insurance.
Now I want to protect myself if I am going to take on the financial responsibility of the vehicle.
I am unable to reach my ex and I think that he may have even left the country for a period of time.
The registration lists him or me as the owners of the vehicle. Which is apparently different then if it was listing as him/me.
DMV is telling me that this makes it possible to remove him from the registration of the vehicle with out his signature.
Now DMV will not remove him from the vehicle until he is removed from the loan from the finance company. The finance company is telling me that I need to refinance the vehicle and take on a new loan myself.
O.K. sounds easy enough. Right?
Well, I am trying to refinance the vehicle and nobody will take it until DMV removes him from the registration.
So DMV will not remove him until the finance company does, and the finance company wont remove him until DMV does.
Big problem!
It seems that the only choice I have is to continue paying the loan and keeping him on there as an owner. Once the loan is paid off, I can go to DMV and have him removed.
Now my question is how do I protect myself from my ex just coming over and driving off with the vehicle. Assuming that he has as much legal right to this vehicle then I do.
Is there a way for me to legally take over ownership of the vehicle without being able to contact him? Assuming he has just abandoned the vehicle? At least for now.
Do I as the co-signer have more legal right to the vehicle then he does? What can I do to remove his rights to the vehicle at this point?

Hi Gang. My question is about the marriages that Mayor Newsome performed in the San Francisco Bay Area. He performed several or appointed judges to perform ceremonys for Gay and Lesbian couples in city hall and I thought that was beautiful. My question is with all of the fuss about same gender marriages were those annulled? If so that's really wrong. How can you annual true love? I ask this because I live right across the Bay and everyone has their opinions about it including my Pastor ( who by the way just made the comment that marriage according to the Bible is between a man and woman and left the statement at that) but no one knows for sure if those couples were allowed to stay married.

Only serious answers please!!!

When I first introduced my littlest sister to my husband (at the time we just started dating) everything seemed to go well, Until that fateful eveing. That first night, my sisters (I have another sister who gets along well with my husband as she and him respect eachother and not cross boarders when they interact and I feel no problem with him complimenting her and calling her beautiful in any way because it comes from a solid place as she is beautiful) my littlest sister (the one who took it upon herself to flirt with my husband and my other sisters boyfreind =( and him were "playing games" as he now refers to the incident, as it took him very long for him to admit! there were ALOT of small talks between them, her giving him the eye bat to appear mysterious and he fell for it..it dragged on through his encounters with her. He treats her the way he treats me and it feels awkward. When I brought it up to him when it first took place he called me insecure but the thing is I wasn't.

We are being barraged by impersonators, harrassers, the worst ilk of scum I have ever seen...It is time we ALL started harrassing Yahoo about this site...it has gone from STUPID to Liable. I for one have the resources to go after Yahoo. When our pics can be used as almost our name, it is time we ALL were outraged. IF you think this is funny, then you are in a sad state of denial. Please let me know your opinion. I always ignore lunatics here..they are NOT worth wasting time on.

In U.S. history, the "n" word was a the derogatory term that whites called blacks. It still is derogatory if a white person calls a black person by the "n" word.

My question is why have black people embraced this word and call each other the "n" word today? Why would a person, or a group of people, willingly choose to identify themselves with such a negative, derogatory term?

I was speaking with her in a group today, and I found out that she wasnt at all gay. She apparently has a crush and the others were teasing her. It was devestating. I hope they didnt notice I was acting wierd after them having fun teasing her. I just didnt know what to say and just sat there listening and thinking. How much does that suck? But I cant stop thinking about her. I think I have gone mad.
