Why on earth should anyone respect culture, religion or tradition?

Wheres the logical rationality in following rules or codes of conduct etc simply as its always been done or somone or some book says so?


As opposed to anaylsing whether its a fair, just good and benefitcal to society thing or not?


For example...

Bonzai trees, pagodas, Tai chi, noodle soup all are harmless and make life fun and pretty.

Arabian food is nice and yummy, the ismalic ban on alcohol makes sense given all the trouble you get or at least very restricted...


These are understandable.

Likewise tradional dances and some not all dress.


But things like a veil that hides a face and personality and identity and person, foot binding that cripples children, forced marriage and family honour akin to human trafficing sex slavoury.


Wheres the good in that?

Why not look as see gays... tradionally and relgiously deemed bad likewise witches.


But have they are a whole done anything

Good day guys…

I'm a male and I'm happily partnered for the past 8 months to this wonderful guy. We are so great together and he is all that I want. He fulfills my every need and its just awesome. There is just one thing…. The problem is me. No doubt I love him very much, at times I tend to cheat… I go for massages provided by other men and it mosttimes leads to sex… (note that I make love with my partner every night) I feel so ashamed whenever that happens, also guilty, but that feel only lasts for a day or two, then again, I get all horny and tend to "look"… I've tried to stop this many times, with a strong will power, but it has failed me. Please… help me get out of this… I'm so worried that this might spoil everything that I have…

Do people realise that complimenting someone will make them feel a lot better than insulting someone.

Not only does it make you feel good, but it can brighten their day too. Or shoot them down and make them feel bad if they have just insulted you.

Take the higher ground. It always feels better!!!

The Pakistan Government has thrown an invite to the Indian Hindus to join the first "puja" (prayers) after 60 years since partition on February 16 on the occasion of the Maha Sivaratri in the renovated main Siva Temple in the famous Katasraj Temple Complex, 2 hours drive from Lahore. The Indian givernment has for years subsidised the flights of Muslims on pilgrimage to Mecca. This right to a subsidy has been enshrined in law in India. Thus this little gesture of Pakistan to allow Indian Hindus a chance to visit Hindu temples in Pakistan can be viewed as very generous indeed.
Is Pakistan attempting to make up for the fact that the USA has at last admitted that Pakistan is the real home of many terroist organisations including the Al Qaida?

It's an interesting question. Jewellery is probably going to be one of the most common answers, in the form of bracelets, rings and chains, but for someone with less money to spend... An inexpensive but nevertheless sweet and lasting way to tell that special guy "I love you". (He's not the cuddly type, either.)

Jehovah Witnesses get most of there theaching from michael the arch angel, muslims get most of there teaching from Angel Gabriel. In the case of Muhammod he reports speaking to the angle gabriel. In the case of Witnesses there founder was said to have been having conversations with Michael the arch angle.
The bible warns us that there will be spirits that come to us a angles of light and we are to test them. Gabriel and Michael would be two of God obident angles. How do the Muslims and the Jehovah Witness know these angels are actually Gods angles and not satan deamons passing themselfs off as God angles?
In the case of the Jehovah Witness it is reported that they claim that this michael is Jesus also. Yeat in the bible John 1:1 clears that up. The Word was with God and is God. Did this angle teach them this.
In the muslims the angle taught them that Christ was the messiah but that he was not God. But only Allah heals and can heal. And the quran states ISA healed.

I sat down; saw two tiny objects lying in a knot hole of the wood bench I sat on for my language lesson. My tutor cleaned the bench off but didn't see objects. Later, he left short time. I picked up the objects and examined: one, a tiny Buddha replica; the other a tiny statue of a monk.
Later, when tutor returned, i pointed at the objects and asked, "what are these". He didn't see them until I actually picked the first one up and showed him. After that he still couldn't see the second one, until again, i picked them up and handed them to him. Why were they not visiable to him until I picked them up?
Any other thoughts?
He took them like they were his; I said, "no they came to me; you couldn't even see them, they are mine" and kept them for a couple of days. Then later I gave them to him and he keeps them now. I may bring them to the monk whose likeness the statue is someday; he is very famous and is still alive.
Suggestions?? Thanks in advance

So I have this dream more like a nightmare but I feel as if I've been there before and there's a man I have this feeling I know him from some where before and he tried to hurt me in my dream my sister knows him to and " I'm like its him>" and she says " I know" but she tells me not to worry. Well I wake up scared as hell and I wake up my ma and describe the house to her she told me the house I was describing sounds just like my Uncles house even though I've never been there or seen pictures. I can sometimes see them although I don't really know what they mean , I generally go by feeling on them like whether or not the colour feels inviting or cold or whether or not in instinct I like the person. (Yes I do make quick judgments but I haven't been wrong yet generally people I dislike based on first impression usually end up being shady or two faced. )
