It's one way to win an argument I guess - just have it with yourself. It's the model religion.

That we all seem to identify ourselves by our point of view. Example: In R&S, i identify with an atheist standpoint and i write it down......why is there so much criticism of atheists and talk about not allowing them in this section of yahoo answers? It is not an exclusive category. Any comments?

(Exodus 21:7-11)
When a man sells his daughter as a slave, she will not be freed at the end of six years as the men are. If she does not please the man who bought her, he may allow her to be bought back again. But he is not allowed to sell her to foreigners, since he is the one who broke the contract with her. And if the slave girl's owner arranges for her to marry his son, he may no longer treat her as a slave girl, but he must treat her as his daughter. If he himself marries her and then takes another wife, he may not reduce her food or clothing or fail to sleep with her as his wife. If he fails in any of these three ways, she may leave as a free woman without making any payment.

Pitt and Jolie are NOT a Royal couple. he's justs a guy who cheated on his wife and got caught when the'mistress' got knocked up. I wish the media would stop making these two amoral people into some knid of icon. Aren't they just a couple of dishonest, unfaithful actors who think their poo doesn't stink? Well, it does. And so do they. I wish they'd stop making movies 'cause I'll never go to another one of their films!

Isn't drowing babies in the flood always bad even if god does it?

I just read a question by an 18 year old girl asking advice about what she should do, she wants to have a baby but I guess she needed some help with the decision?

Overwhelmingly people tried to discourage her as many of us are older and understand the reality of it, but, of course she completely ignored the vast majority of people and gave a "favorite answer" to a girl that wrote:

"i think your ready and i think with time you will have one and make a great mother i hope you do"

She went on to reply "she has lived her life" and is "ready". (At 18! I got a good laugh.)

Is it funny to any of you that some people here just ask questions to validate what they have already decided and choose to completey ignore what the majority think? Why do you think they waste peoples time if they've already made up there minds and had no intention of listening to the advice given?

BTW- I have my own opinion on the subject but I'm actually interested in what others think.

What if a person intentionally blew up a dam with the idea of drowning babies in a town, and succeeded in doing so? Would you consider him evil? If so, then why it is ok for god to do the same thing in the flood?

In many many years technology advances to a point where we can run “ancestor simulations”. These are computer programs that mimic Earth and populate it with artificial minds. They are detailed enough for the minds to be conscious and have experiences like ours. Eventually these simulations can be run on any desktop pc and so there are billions of them all over the world.
Thus, if we do invent this technology, the balance of probability suggests we are living in a simulation.

There are a couple of people who took the trip straight up with their physical bodies. Jesus went up with a physical body. Obviously Heaven is a physical place or they wouldn't have to travel there in physical bodies.

How long did it take to get there?

How come we cannot find Heaven?
