and a group of Hindus told you they would feed you and help you get back on your feet in exchange for your conversion to their religion, would you do it? Is this an acceptable practice, or do you find it immoral?

Father K... Chrissy... Thanks for not just dodging this one. I'm glad some people can recognize the difference between a serious question and a joke.

I don't need to be coerced into religion and that is exactly what you propose.

I would not...I believe as a Christian that when faced with situations and circumstances we should depend on God. By taking the food that the Hindus provide in exchange of turning my back on the True and Living God, I'm telling God that I would rather serve a God that doesn't love me, nor communicates with me, etc.. And that this food that I can physically see is worth more to me than the God of Abraham, Issac and Jacob. I would trust in God because He is faithful and will supply our every need, if we are willing to trust in Him.

Would I? No. For the same reasons the early Martyrs of the Faith would not "offer a pinch of incense" unto Caesar in order to participate in Roman commerce.
As a Catholic Christian, I believe that I was bought with a price. I will not sell out my Savior for a bowl of rice (or a bowl of lentil stew).

It is possible to be Hindu without rejecting Jesus, so starvation would work as a reason to understand their view point. Gandhi was both Christian and a Hindu. The breaking point comes when you have to deny Jesus or starve and then I woul;d starve or seach out another honorable yet faster death.

Whatever, nice way to try and imply that christians only help starving people if they convert to christianity. Have you ever gone on a mission?

No, I wouldn't do it. That is what Protestants tried to do to Irish Catholics who were starving during the potato famine. Many Catholics chose death rather than renounce the One True Faith.

you can't force anybody to believe in something they don't want to believe in. So even if they did follow the Hindu religion, we would never forget Jesus. But honestly, unless I was dying and couldn't get my own food, I'd tell them to stick it.

Renouncing God is the worst thing a Christian can do. It's never acceptable to renounce God as the one and only God and Creator of the Universe. Many many Christian martyrs died because they would not renounce God.

Oh come on....
God would want you to wage war on them and take their food but no unneccessary slaughtering...
If you don't believe me, go and ask Him yourself....
