First of all calling someone a redneck is SO completely different than calling someone a "n" word.
2ndly, is their neck really red? If it is, than call a spade a spade.

I thought the two words meant different things. A Hick an unsophisticated, boorish, and provincial person. Whereas a Redneck is narrow, prejudiced, or reactionary person. Although I believe original rednecks were white farmers from the Southern states the term redneck in todays society can apply to anyone. A hick would not understand the difference but a redneck might well be insulted.

depends on the hick. I call one of my friends "Redneck Paul" and he calls me "Fa g got" but we are still great friends.
I make fun of him for his 8th grade education and inability to spell.

A Negroe is a black person from Africa, so to call a Negroe a Negroe is not racist, or an insult.
To call a Chinaman a Chinese is not an insult.
