srprimeau: Since he is not there, he would have no chemical reactions.

beta_fish: Yes it is moot when you get right down to it. But my brain finds this entertaining.

Steve, there you go again, ruining all the fun of the illusion. You really should stay away from the additional details!

How is it that you, a irrational being, of merely chemical reactions to stimuli can attribute something as rational as entertaining to the function of your chemical processes. Dang it Steve, come on if you want to play the game, that's great but stick to a coarse of thought, oh that right, you can't. Even Data on Star Trek as weak as his character was did a better job.

It's not Steve's fault people, he is a self proclaimed being of no rational thought, sometimes I get confused and actually attribute some meaning or intent to the output that comes from his brain. Sorry, well it is fun reading his meaningless ramblings even if his own output is so inconstant. Just a flaw in the synapses I suppose.

Keep at it Steve, we love ya!

** Why does god get to be immoral? **

The God concept is inherently immoral, for such a thing as God has not been demonstrably shown to actually exist. This concept of God only exists in the mind of man. Therefore man falsely does God' so-called will in his name. The God concept is immoral because man is immoral.

** Isn't drowing babies in the flood always bad even if god does it?**

Yes, indeed drowning anyone including babies in the name of God or such a thing being done by a so-called God Is highly immoral and is a bad thing.

One race, the human race.

At the time of the flood there were offspring of angels called Nephilim on the earth. These Nephilim were powerful men, so powerful that they were given the name fellers because of their ability to defeat men. Any child at that time could have had traits of these super types. The flood was more than just water rising. Water from deep in the earth came to the surface. With a huge weather depression such as the flood of Noah's day there would have been extremely high winds and high waves that could hurl people with great force into objects and trees. So many people back then died by other means than drowning. The people that lived at that time were bad, but not just bad. They were bad ALL THE TIME. I hope this helps to answer your question.

If all actions are simply the result of chemical reactions, based on inputs and outputs...then isn't morality a moot point?

LOL

If God is immoral then we are all in a heap of trouble. The very fact that you ask this question implies that God may indeed be moral.

Maybe that's how His brain operated. Who art thou to contend with His chemical reactions?

Population control. God does not want us to overpopulate. Apparently, we didn't listen.
