Are there people who can't live without God?
I mean people who without God in their lives will commit suicide or murder someone?
People whose lives are filled with pain & desperation that without God they feel hopeless, worthless and their lives unbearable & meaningless?
then why not support them...encourage them to believe in god instead of telling them "God is not real"
is it impossible, that some people can be so poor and pathetic?

I am trying to understand why congregations will spend millions of dollars building a new church when there are so many starving and homeless childern. Do they think that God is impressed? Do they think it will get them a better seat in heaven? Do they sleep well knowing they will have a brand new, state of the art church in which to worship while little childern are sleeping on dirty streets and in abandoned houses without a warm meal in their tummies?? Why does God not slap them silly? I guess it is because they are already stupid.

What I want to know is how he could make a joke like that, and the people all just laugh. Is that really something to joke about? Why did everyone just go along with that joke? How would you react if your pastor had said that during a service?

An experienced shaman led a group meditation to discover our power animal. During the meditation, she told us to imagine we were in Africa, only I wasn't in Africa -- I was somewhere in North America. A Snowy Owl met me and pierced me with her eyes and then clawed my stomach. I then flew on her back through the snowy, coniferous forest in the dead of night. I didn't get the chance to ask the shaman what it might have meant. I e-mailed her but she hasn't responded.

So, does anyone here know about Snowy Owls as it broadly relates to Shamanism? What does my totem animal signify? What could my experience mean?

my favorite monster of all time is the werewolf. hence my online name. majority of people don't believe in such nonsense. some of us entertain the thought of "what if?" while there are the few that swear up and down that they exist. i would love to know anyones thoughts on this subject. don't be afraid to tell me. i won't make fun if you think they are real or have seen one. have fun with this question or take this seriously. it's your choice.

Ok I met this guy about a month ago. He is dating a female friend of mine. I really like him. The first day we met, he spent the night at my house and we shared my bed. (My bed's a queen size.) The next day he even kissed me on the cheek as a joke. About a week ago he did it again and made me kiss him back. No complaints! Well then he tells me that he bought me a 10" speaker for my car. He used the excuse that he wanted to be able to listen to his music, rap, when he rode with me. Then he let me borrow his head unit from his car, since he doesnt have a licence anymore. Thing is... if I'm wrong about his feeling it could be deep **** for me. He was involved with a gang and has even shot at people. The first time we shared a bed he asked me if I was gay... which I told him no. I really dont know what to do since if I really make him mad he could seriously hurt me. What should I do? If he was drunk would it be easier to find out?

i asked a question about good works getting the mormon faith to heaven. let me explain a bit more. you must be saved to get to heaven. if you are not saved u will not go. that is what the bible says and if u believe otherwise you are wrong. now, after you are saved you are a christian and you should want to do his will because you love him and want to be more christ like. i do this. BUT if you do not always do good, and if you slip from him for 20 years..... and die before getting back on the path you are still his and he will still allow you into heaven. so what i ask is why do mormons think that good works has so much to do with it when it really has NOTHING to do with getting to heaven?

How come there are no pagan holidays listed here? That's a little biased. And I know many will argue that some of the holidays listed were once pagan holidays just renamed to appease everyone when the catholics converted the old ones, but come on. I want my real names, like Beltaine, for instance.
