I want to have a committment ceremony there with my gay partner soon..but I havn't been there in 15 years. I remember it being so laid back, fun and bohemian. But, I've heard it has changed. Any input?

Yes, its still very gay friendly. Straights have started going there and as mentioned before, both the visitors and the city's tourist industry has begun to "upscale" a bit.
Dozens of guest houses cater to the gay community, and almost all others are gay friendly.

Me and my Boyfriend almost went to a GayFestival down in the Keys. So i'd say yeah if theyre still putting on GayParades i'd 'think' their still gay friendly

The last time I was in Key West was with my ex-boyfriend in 1996.......and most definitely at that time it was gay friendly.....many gays own many of the boarding homes there and alot of the shops on Duvall Street. It has changed but it has changed towards being more gay than strait............I think you will be just fine.....and good luck!

Still very gay friendly, but more expensive, has been gentrified a bit by affluent straights, but they tend to be gay fiendly sort. There last Spring.

It has changed a lot since the cruise ships came in.
Even the gay community is more mainstream now than it was when I was first there (late 70's).
But nothing is what it was, huh?
