Because some people are so convinced that they don't lie and there are some people that lie so much, they believe their own lies. Some people think that they are so perfect that they never lie and people around them lie.

Consider - if a person lies then the are a liar. If they are a liar then there would be no reason for them to be reluctant to lie about lying.

Cause it is easier then facing up to telling the truth.
Everone lies, we all know it but dont want to say we do. Have your friend come up to you with really ulgy jeans on and ask you if they look ok. or a fat friend ask you if they look skinny.
