which states that the French have declared Halloween "dead". Are there any other places where it's not being celebrated - in such a large scale as an entire country?

I was going to order somethings on-line but the money said E30 but in U.K money does anyone know what that would translate in American money? Please help i really want to buy it but im not sure if i have enough.

Since an omniscient god would already know what you need from him, and know weather or not it fits his plan he would use his omnipotence to provide you with what you need... So why would anyone ever need to pray for say a friends health or safety, or to come into some money so you can make the next pay check? If it's in the plan he's already got it covered, right?

Or perhaps he isn't omiscient, omnipotent, or both.

Okay...we are having a potluck at work in a few weeks for Thanksgiving. But that is pretty bland and generic by itself. So to make things more fun, I want hold some sort of "mini-event" or something with some type of entertainment value. Any ideas?

we don't. There are trick or treaters at my door right now as I write and I won't answer. I used to go to bed early to avoid them, but then I started feeling 'put upon' becuase someone else wanted to celebrate "the Living Dead"

When I ask my friends to pray for me I usually ask the ones who are closest to God, because they are most likely to pray. Is that wrong?

As Mary is to be called "blessed" by all generations, and was one of the people closest to God when he walked the earth, is it wrong to ask her to pray for me?

I am curious about how varied people's hurtful insults would be and whether they would offend me too. For me personally, being called a child molester would probably be the worst thing but many other insults probably wouldn't bother me. Thanks.

We have a lot of children in our safe and quiet, urban neighbourhood. At Halloween, you would normally find 20-30 knocking all the doors. This evening's weather was perfect for the occation, but the streets are deserted. No kids on the steets. It's the first time it's happened. Has this year's Halloween escaped your neighbourhood also. If so what do you think is the cause?

I have Wine Wednesday each week. It started with 3 of my close friends and has since grown to include about 25 of my now very close friends. They are polite to everyone and clean up after themselves and each other. Problem is, the # is up to like 40 throughout the night. I personally invite my good friends every week and they are all feeling for me at the mess I have every Thursday morning. We went to a few other friends' houses, but it's not the same as my comfortable and beautifully decorated home. We've had theme parties w/ costume required but folks I hardly know still come in. I started this so I could be with and share with all my friends but it's too much work now. How can I politely weed out the folks I don't invite?

God made it very easy to get into heaven.

Simply put, all you have to do is die, and you go on to heaven. It doesn't matter how and when, we go on to heaven.

Then why are we wasting time being alive then?

Why did he give us life in the first place, when we all can just be in heaven right now?
