My experience in studying and poking fun at religions for decades has been that Catholics tend to have the best sense of humor. They seem to know things are strange in that religion and accept it.

However I tend to get blank stares from a number of other religious people. I think they are not quite sure if they are going to be smote if they laugh or not.

Catholics seem not to worry about it much since they can always run into the forgiveness booth.

Just I have discovered my vocation by the humanitarian work. always has been my think that ignorance is the greatest tragedy than the humanity faces. It is for that reason that I consider that who we lived in the world, in order to the future protection and evolution of our species, is very important to preserve the cultures and inheritances that after the years we have developed. I think that one of the most beautiful gifts than God has given to us is the diversity. But all this I cannot do by myself. For that reason I am drilling if there are people interested with this same vocation and help me to fulfill this work, you can do it from your country and all you need is will. For that reason I ask you for your help. If you want to participate you must be an proactive person and is very important that you have knowledge or root of your own culture. My vision is that with time we form an organization dedicated to that aim. If you are interested. live me a contact mail. thanks

John 4: 1 - 42
It's the one when Jesus goes up to the woman at the well.
I have this for a religion homework question, and the questions are:

1) How was Jesus' action unusual
2) What is the message of this story

I can't figure out how Jesus action was unusual. I'm guessing because he went up to the woman to talk to her. She had five husbands it says, so I assume she's a sinner?? Would that be how he action is unusual? And as for the meaning . . . I have no clue?

Can some one help me out? Thanks!

I grew up in a Mormon family, and was forced to go to the church until I moved out. My parents don’t bug me about it anymore, but I keep getting harassed by the Mormons. Every time I move, the Mormons find me. The missionaries knock on my door and call me. The Bishops call me. The ladies at the church call me and want me to come to their craft activities. I tell them I’m not Mormon and I want nothing to do with them, and they leave me alone for awhile, and then they start bugging again. The Bishop just called me on my birthday. What the hell? I already told him to leave me alone! His call stirred up bad memories and feelings on my birthday! I lived in a gated residence for a while. One day the missionaries were parked outside my place, waiting for me! They saw me leaving and just stared at me as I screeched away in my car. I was afraid they would follow me. Creepy!
How do I get these people to respect my wishes and leave me alone? Anyone else ever deal with this?

I'm having so much fun painting the leaves and flying through the sunsets, I'm rather reluctant to drop a line to Jack (Frost), though I shall have to soon or he will get all sulky and then he won't make any pretty snowflakes just freezing fog and drizzle. (Does dreadful things to my hair).

Plenty of research dating before christianity to what happened. I fear paganism because of what christians tell me, but i'm most comfortable being pagan, it's natural to me. Everyone has different beliefs, so try to keep opinion out and stick with fact.

I am studying the book of Hebrews. Do you have any insights on Hebrews 5:1-4?

It says:
Hebrews 5:1
1 For every high priest taken from among men is appointed for men in things pertaining to God, that he may offer both gifts and sacrifices for sins.
2 He can have compassion on those who are ignorant and going astray, since he himself is also subject to weakness.
3 Because of this he is required as for the people, so also for himself, to offer sacrifices for sins.
4 And no man takes this honor to himself, but he who is called by God, just as Aaron was.

if someone was in a huge amount of pain and wanted you to help them die, would you? If it was your mother, whose every waking moment was painful and she wanted your help, would you deny her?

It's a tough question I know but I'm wondering. If you believe in God, and he apparently knows both you and your "mother" wouldn't he see the sacrifice that you would be making to help ease your mom's pain? Maybe by that one jesture God sees you with a good heart because yes you would have to live with it for the rest of your life but you were helping your mom.

Or do you think that it is murder anyway (which technically speaking it IS but it is consentual)

Your thoughts please

I am studying the book of Hebrews. Hebrews 5:1 implies that high priests were still appointed at the time this verse was written. Was it the jews that still appointed priests to sacrifice sins for them? It never occured to me that maybe the jews still continued to have high priests in the new testament and the high priests might have still offered sacrices for sins.

Btw the verse I am referring to is:

Hebrews 5:1
For every high priest taken from among men is appointed for men in things pertaining to God, that he may offer both gifts and sacrifices for sins.
2 He can have compassion on those who are ignorant and going astray, since he himself is also subject to weakness.
3 Because of this he is required as for the people, so also for himself, to offer sacrifices for sins.
4 And no man takes this honor to himself, but he who is called by God, just as Aaron was.

1/3 of the earth be destroyed
1/3 of the sea will turn to blood

Lucifer and 1/3 of the fallen angels cast down to earth.

I was just wondering if anyone ever thought about the ONE THIRD in Revelations

Revelation Chapter 12 also talks about the

Clothed with the Sun and the MOON AT HIS FEET

Genesis 3:15
