if someone was in a huge amount of pain and wanted you to help them die, would you? If it was your mother, whose every waking moment was painful and she wanted your help, would you deny her?
It's a tough question I know but I'm wondering. If you believe in God, and he apparently knows both you and your "mother" wouldn't he see the sacrifice that you would be making to help ease your mom's pain? Maybe by that one jesture God sees you with a good heart because yes you would have to live with it for the rest of your life but you were helping your mom.
Or do you think that it is murder anyway (which technically speaking it IS but it is consentual)
Your thoughts please

To have your choice taken away about the most important thing - seems so cruel. To say nothing of ending their pain.
If it were a dog or a horse in pain and dying, we wouldn't question a "mercy killing." Soldiers do it on the front lines all the time as well. It is the kindest and bravest thing to do for a loved one.

That IS a Tough one.
Pain Hurts.
And if there is no way to Stop The Pain, I just Don't Know.
Jesus is the Great Judge, not me (Thank GOD).
Haven't Read much in Bible about This----GOD can Heal Of Course.
GOD can Answer Prayers Of Course.
This Pain Thing, just to Hard to Answer.
Would it be Murder to help Someone Leave the Earth because they or Others Don't Know How to rid them of the Pain?
I would Just Hope FIRST, that they are SAVED (they will go to Heaven), then DON"T KNOW---Jesus is the Judge.
Not much Bible for This Answer YET.
These are my Thoughts.

Now, a person's death is more painful for the living than it is for the dying. They keep dying patients pretty doped up so they don't feel the pain. Went through this twice 2 years ago and the thought occurs to you but, it is not for you to decide how and when. We precariously exist based on moments that could have gone one way or the other. The moment we die is part of the plan.
You help them by being there with them as and when it happens.

God knows what lies in the future?
Who knows may be tom she becomes better? we heard of stories like that...
I am not giving u hope in illusion.. but won;t u face a WHAT IF... question if u actually do it?
I guess do to doctors, find stronger pain killers...
Pray to God to help her, at least ease her pain...
The more pain u see her in, pray harder & harder.. Pray with Faith & I know he will answer (in a way or another)
I do understand the strong pain u r under, but I still tell u I won;t do it if I were in ur place!

Its only wrong to eas anothers suffering if buy into the amoral BS of religion.
If one is suffering and it can not be helped but by death then to honer the person by doing what is right: Stopping the suffering.
For the religius: Your god can't stop me! Sooooo not so powerfull now is he (Oh right, "once your dead you'll be sorry!" Ah such an empty lame threat and so conviniant that I can't report back that I was right after all)

Helping someone die is called murder.
Only God can create life, only God has a right to take a life.

I can't imagine that situation, but I am sure that I can't kill my mother in any condition. I have seen my mother suffering many times and at that time I requested God to give me her pain. So, keep that on mind I would say I may suffer with her and ask God to give me her pain and if that would not be possible then perhaps I would kill myself but if is impossible for me to kill someone who is so dear to me.

murder isn't 'consensual'...Yes, in ten seconds I would do it...The problem for me is whether or not euthanasia is mercy even if the suffering/dying individual doesn't want to die...'how to tell if they don't want to die, or if they are asking not to suffer (or want another go 'round)...
