Meaning, do German cars, American Cola and computers, Fashion wear, French perfumes and bags and Swiss watches (to cite only the tip of the iceberg) play placebo to compensate for the meaningless puppeteers of the 20th and 21st century? Have we started to follow hyped products to replace historical figures? Are we so desperate for a path to follow, a model to ape that we use material things to make believe that we are worth more with them than without? Do we really have to fall in such a marketed trap? Can´t we judge people on what they feel/know instead of on what they have? Don´t we have vision... ideals... anymore?

I thought all guys were turned on by cheerleaders at football games, but my bf can't stand them. He hates the lycra costumes, says they all have had too much plastic surgery, and thinks their routines are creepy and overly regimented and look like something devised for a Hitler Youth parade.

Does this make him unique, or there are actually lots of other guys who feel the same way?

is that a problem? I don't care for race when it comes to any thing. Of course this took me a lot of work to overlook it. I don't believe in shouting racism because someone called me black. The strangest thing happened to me today while I was shopping at my favorite Fur Coat boutique. A saleswoman I've never seen there before kept approaching me and saying "Let ME know if you need anything." She emphasized the ME for some reason. Anyway, I ignored her annoyingness, and had another saleswoman who I always buy from help me. When I went to pay for the coat, she approached us and helped the other saleswoman wrap up the coat, even though the other sales woman told her she could handle it herself. She replied "I would like to help this customer." What is going on?!

I had a business relationship with someone that just passed away unexpectedly. We did not get along and he was the reason I left the partnership. He left a wife and 2 young children. I would like to donate to the memorial fund but am not sure what an appropriate amount to donate is, also considering I am on a tight budget.

In the parable in Judges Judges 19:1-29, was the man who murders and dismembers his concubine after she was gang raped, performing god's will? Since she was thrown out of the house by the old man to be raped and abused, surely she was a whore, right? Therefore the man must have been doing the right thing by killing her.
