It has a nice ring to it. I think it should be pronounced Poo-baah.

i am listening to an Coast to Coast AM with George Noory. He is interviewing a gentleman and they talked about the movie The Exorcist and the real people and places involved. I have always understood that to be a true story but because of the Lutz's story regarding Amityville Horror Farse i am a little skeptical. Can someone tell me what happened to the real people invoved in the Exorcist after the event. Not the people in the movie but the people in the real case. I am also interested in the why the younger priest will not talk to anyone about it. The strange occurances that happened to the people in the hospital where the boy was.

there must of first been a purpose for us to be here? do you believe that if we evolved from monkeys that we have a purpose or that it was all by chance? Doesn't life and finding it's purpose point towards a higher power?

You weren't feeling mad, happy, or sad. Nothing to make you cry, but you just started to cry?
Any idea why?

Sorry for all the questions. Just trying to understand.

If the big bang happened, then what caused something from nothing? It takes faith?

If life started, then what caused something from nothing? It takes faith?

If evolution is random chance and natural selection, then what created the choice, that natural selection could choose from? Again, it takes fatih?

How did matter create consciousness? This takes faith?

Sorry, I am skeptical of a materialistic universe. I do not have that much faith.

Who the heck do humans think they are doing...thinking that God would make us like him? Pretty darn arrogant I think!! Doesn't this break Deadly sin #7? Who wrote that we are made in God's image? Obviously, someone needs to answer to God, and I mean pronto!

why does everyone refer to him as jesus christ? in researching the origins of his name.. you find that there wasn’t ever a J till centuries later... and they had transliterated his name into Greek.. but in Aramaic it is pronounced eeshoua,(it meant saviour) and the Etymology of christ is from the word christos, which in greek is a translation of Messiah.. which literally means "the anointed 1". infact why do we use the word GOD.. because its origins are from HINDU scripts!!! in Aramaic the word is ALAHA.. in Hebrew its ELOHIM, and Arabic ALLAH. considering Christianity came from the middle east.. why don’t we use any of these words and have replaced them with a Hindu 1?? Jehovah isn’t even how u pronounce the tetragammaton.. YVHV is an abbreviation according to JEWS! why did Christianity spread from ROME.. what do the ROMANS have to do with anything apart from crucifying christ? does no1 care about the council of nicea? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/First_Council_of_Nicaea

The soul is the master of the body. One cannot be fulfilled if he's not working toward spiritual growth. Just like the hands and mouth cannot absorb energy directly from food but need to work in conjunction to satiate the stomach and then they get energy! Their goal is accomplished through serving. Similarly one must keep performing his Karma without worrying about the fruits for ultimate gain. Source: The Bhagvat Gita.
Do you really think people with such a deep understanding really need saving by jesus or they are destined for hell?

I used to think that I was bisexual because I have been turned on by looking a females in the nude but the thought of having lesbian sex does not appeal to me at all. The 'stuff' that lesbians do is more like foreplay than sex to me and I prefer good old penetration over foreplay. (Actually the only thing that I like that might be considered foreplay is having my nipples bit really hard but that can go on durning sex as well. I also like giving oral sex to men but the thought of doing that to a woman is revolting.) The thing is I believe myself openminded enough that if I ever met a female that I felt a lot of chemisrty with I would not put it past me to try it. Would most of you be willing to try an experience that you normally wouldn't (like if you are gay would you go straight if you met the right person and vice versa) or are you all too stuck in your box to ever try something new even if you felt a stron attraction and chemisty?

as it exists today?

Don't get me wrong. The first amendment is a genius concept. However I think we've unmistakibly stepped outside the bounds of the implied meaning of the constitution on this issue.

Let's think for a minute why the founders would create this ammendment? Were they afriad that Christians were going to be indotrinating their children with rubbish? Where they worried that the Bible might be placed outside a courthouse? Did they fear a nativity scene might spook them in the night?

The simple answer is of course no. It's clearly obvious that the founding fathers meant for the NATIONAL government should never create a national religion. For a time, many states even had state-wide sanctioned religion.

My point is that the idea that the U.S. hasn't always been married to Christianity is a farce. To cite Thomas Jefferson's idea of seperation of church and state actually bolsters the position of religion in this country.

If you love Muslims and Islam so much, what's wrong with moving to an Islamic nation? I'm not trying to sound flip, but many Jews in the US have moved to Israel. Many Rastafari who practice the true faith live in Ethiopia. Why are you all so adamant about coming to the west if you disagree with us so much and have to split your allegiance and call us heathen infidels? Why live in a nation of heathens when you can be among your brethren? Why not?
