The soul is the master of the body. One cannot be fulfilled if he's not working toward spiritual growth. Just like the hands and mouth cannot absorb energy directly from food but need to work in conjunction to satiate the stomach and then they get energy! Their goal is accomplished through serving. Similarly one must keep performing his Karma without worrying about the fruits for ultimate gain. Source: The Bhagvat Gita.
Do you really think people with such a deep understanding really need saving by jesus or they are destined for hell?

Sun 2 you've already made a huge mistake and taken a 180 turn from the spritual path. Look at you you are already shoving jesus down everyone's throat! If you never were able to understand the Gita perhaps youshould have gone to a learned man. All you've earned is guilt for your soul!

Yes you do ! I wouldnt say you are destined to hell though ! because as per Christainity those who didnt had a chance to know Jesus are judged according to the laws they followed according to thier conscience. What is the sole point of serving and NOT getting paid ? I call it bad Karma ! thats how we in the smash our forehead when things go wrong saying Ayyo ! Karama Karma. There is One God, if you can understand that fact, karma doesnt matter any more. What will matter is repentence and Abundant grace through his Son Jesus Christ.

Human philosophy can be interesting, but it has nothing to do with being saved from hell. Salvation is dependent upon knowing that we are sinners.....and cannot do anything to redeem ourselves from that sin. That is why Jesus died on the cross, to pay for our sins. Only the blood of Christ can save a person.
And by the way, answering you from scripture, which is what the Christians are doing here.....is not "shoving Jesus down your throat". If you ask a question, let people answer!

Wow, You are fool of wisdom, grasshopper. You got it. Everyone must be born again, here is true Karma: This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what he has done has been done through God."
Jesus declared, "I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again."
"How can a man be born when he is old?" "Surely he cannot enter a second time into his mother's womb to be born!"
Jesus answered, "I tell you the truth, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the Spirit. Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit[b] gives birth to spirit. You should not be surprised at my saying, 'You must be born again.' The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit."

Yes. Even someone "with such a deep understanding" consistently will make mistakes. Along with the soul, there is the nature of man, and that is to be self-serving to themselves.

All men have sinned and come short of the Glory of God. All of us have sinned and because of that God sent his son Jesus to die on the cross. The bible saids that we are all destined to die and after this is judgement. I hate to sound super spiritual or like a fanatic, but I truly do believe this. IF we do not accept our Lord Jesus as saviour and put him first, we will have to answer to God. We must have a relationship with him. It is not by works, that we are saved. We don't have to prove God and do everything good so we can get into heaven. When we have his Holy Spirit in us, we will want to do good, love our neighbor, have the fruits of the spirit. When you are in a relationship you want to be with that person, love that person, talk to that person, so it is with being in love with GOd. I hope I answsered your question.

I see words, but they are real fuzzy.
Can you be more specific, use another analogy. Goal of mouth and hands is to bring food to stomach, facilitating body to absorb nutrients that would enable hands and mouth to bring food to stomach, facilitating....... I understand the last sentence.....it works. I'll wait a few before I answer. ok?
Ok, you were venting. I don't think what you qouted was 'deep', sounds like you just read it and liked how it sounded. So the understanding part, is really shallow instead. Read the bible without preformed contempt and try to understand it, as much as you ask me to read your books and analyze them.

What deep understanding is that? Do you believe that we live in a society where man is mastered by his soul? quite the contrary I am sure. W are living in a secular humanistic world where every desire of man is fleshly. There is no spiritual depth to mankind when left alone to his senses, he is a selfish evil creature. Do you truly believe that man will save himself while spiralling downward into oblivion?

Jesus Christ is the only one by whom we may be saved and the only way to have our prayers heard by God.
Col. 1:14
14Â by means of whom we have our release by ransom, the forgiveness of our sins. 15Â He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation; 16Â because by means of him all [other] things were created in the heavens and upon the earth, the things visible and the things invisible, no matter whether they are thrones or lordships or governments or authorities. All [other] things have been created through him and for him. 17Â Also, he is before all [other] things and by means of him all [other] things were made to exist, 18Â and he is the head of the body, the congregation. He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that he might become the one who is first in all things; 19Â because [God] saw good for all fullness to dwell in him, 20Â and through him to reconcile again to himself all [other] things by making peace through the blood [he shed] on the torture stake, no matter whether they are the things upon the earth or the things in the heavens.
