Or is it more than just at fast food restuarants? Ive seen this more than onece. I am watching swedes, germans, japanese, russians, other eastern europeans, british and americans and I dont see the same - generally they dont eat with their mouth open.

Is it a cultural thing with the chinese? Something do with their tradition of eating or chewing food or their teeth?

Are there any countries where existing governments imprison or kill people solely because of their religious beliefs? I will define religion as one of the mainstream ones that believe in a diety or dieties, Christianity, Buddhism, Hinduism, Islam, Taoism, Judaism.

the jointed fingers do nothing. the flipper can not bend, and the fingers can not seperate. so essentially it is pointless to equip dolphin flippers with these sorts of bones.

eolvutionary theory can explain why this is. dolphins evolved from land mammals, and so they retain terrestrial features such as jointed fingers, lungs, and an up-down movement rather than a side-to-side movement. (the first of which is pointless, and the last two of which are actually detrimental to life in water.)

if you believe that an intelligent designer is responsible for making dolphins the way the are, then how can you explain why he didn't make dolphins with gills and a more efficient side-to-side swimming technique and why he didn't just completely leave out the useless jointed finger bones?? --- was it just his goal to make dolphins and whales LOOK like land mammals in order to trick us or something?

Sorry, folks, but this subject is too hot to keep closed, so I'm re-opening it. As far as I'm concerned, Mark Foley is no more gay than Barney Frank is straight. It really galls me that there are too many people who cannot tell the difference between homosexuality and pedophilia.

I'm a blogger and I've found absolutely NO EVIDENCE that Mark Foley has ever had an ADULT male companion -- and no one I've spoken to who knows him and assumed that he was gay can recall Foley having an adult male companion, either.

Face it, the dude was a PEDOPHILE, not a GAY MAN. Gay men have relationships with MEN, not with BOYS. ADULTS who have sex with KIDS are PEDOPHILES -- PERIOD!

The idiot who posted that ridiculous comment about men raping boys as part of being gay must either be a member of the pedophile group NAMBLA or is a homophobic bigot. Only a pedophile or a homophobe would come up with such a ridiculous statement.

I'm about to be 40 soon and the past 5 years in my life have been horribly depressing, due to some personal issues in my life. It has been so bad that it's effected my career and social life. Now, I've decided to make a change and turn my life around, but I need lots of encouragement. I've decided to go back to school and get a second degree. I guess what I need to know is, how do I keep myself motivated? Is it too late for me to have a happy life?

I would appreciate all those who just want to make fun, taunt or belittle people or the questions we pose about religion to continue your disgraceful ranting elsewhere. I thought we were here to discuss questions of faith not who can upset the most people or who can show the most disrespect for the others
religious beliefs. Making snide or immoral remarks forces moral people to
stop reading this forum. Can't we just enjoy each others points of views leaving out anger, hate and smart mouth?

Christians used to follow the example of the good samaritan--they used to HELP people, and they didn't preach and lecture all the time. Twenty years ago the slogan was "they will know we are christians by our love" and they held themselves to the verse "whatsoever you have done to these the least of my brethren, that ye have done unto me." Those are Christs words and his followers believed that their actions speak louder than words
Nowadays churches have closed the doors on their homeless shelters and soup kitchens in most areas and gotten rid of the vouchers they used to use to help people in times of desperate need. Showing up to church in your best clothes is no longer good enough when your best clothes are jeans and a work shirt--and heaven help the homeless person who tries to walk through that door on sunday. When did Christ tell these people that it was more important to nag the people who don't want or need their help than to help the people who need Him? out of characters.

The words spoken by Mr. Berg's murderers come directly out of the Qur'an's "Spoils of War" surah: "Allah has sent you from your homes to fight for the Cause. Allah wished to confirm the truth by his words: wipe the Infidels out to the last. I shall fill the hearts of the Infidels with terror! So smite them on their necks and every joint, and incapacitate them, for they are opposed to Allah and His Apostle. Whoever opposes Us should know that Allah is severe in retribution. The Infidels will taste the torment of Hell. So when you meet them in battle do not retreat, for all who turn away from fighting will bring the wrath of Allah on themselves and their abode will be Hell. It was not you who killed them, but Allah who did so. You did not throw what you threw. Allah did to bring out the best in the faithful."

OK. I'm 16 years old and I've decided to take some of my money and by my niece and nephews a christmas gift or two. I've only got $100 dollars to work with maybe $150. I'm not sure. But I want to know what are the hottest toys out right now for christmas.
My niece is 9 years old and she likes Bratz and other toys.
My oldest Nephew is 11 and all he does is play video games(but I'm thinking about getting him a remote control car that way he can get out of the house)
My youngest nephew is 6 and he likes cars and trains and sometimes he plays with blocks and little figures like bob the builder.

My Mom is 52 and I don't know what she likes.
My Dad's B-day is Christmas Day. He likes Golf
My Bro is 31 or 32 he never tells us his real age but it's one of the two.
My sister in law is 27

The people that I've listed above, I don't know what kinds of gifts to get them. And please don't say Giftcards because chances are, they aren't going to use them.

Mine is the clowns. I always picture them playing around with the kids in the dirt and eating watermelon. Laughing it up.

My second favorite is the modern, non-traditional "Priest Killer".

Moses said "Without the shedding of blood there is no atonement for sins."
Leviticus 17 vs 11 "The life of the flesh is in the blood, and i have given it upon the altar to make atonement for your sins."
