Paul H is very ill-informed. Britain is not a secular country without a state sponsored religion. Since 1534 Britain has been one of the few countries to have an official state church, its head of state is head of that church, and bishops sit in parliament. For better or worse, the fact is this is OFFICIALLY a Christian country.

Well perhaps some religious faiths are a little trying to say the least but what a dangerous and backward step to start banning them. In the Christian tradition the Protestants tried it with the Catholics in England, but it all came right again in the end.
Live and let live.

Just ban all religions, but wouldn't that be a step backwards, after all isn't freedom to choose one of the cornerstones of our society
or where do you draw the line till you eventually have no freedoms left,God knows we have few freedoms left now, there is not one thing you can do in the UK without a licence or permission from some obscure committee, think I will emigrate.

No but in the case of mohomemdans, the Imams, Mullahs, Ayatollahs, Grand Ayatollahs, et. al. should be examined before entry. They (all mohommedans) should be required to swear on the koran that they will uphold the law of the land, not attempt to introduce sharia or any other foreign law(s) and accept the reigning monarch as the ultimate head of all religions in the UK. They should then be required to revoke any previous nationality and become members of the Mosque of England.

It worked for Henry. he also had a good way of dealing with people who disobeyed as well.

No. And I don't recall seeing Christians ever decapitate a prisoner, but I do vividly remember them shooting, stabbing and blowing up innocent men and women who work in abortion clinics. Or is that ok?

There's good and bad in every religion, geeeeeez, it's not hard...

Britain is supposedly a secular country rather than a country with a state sponsored religion such as christianity. Britain is also a democracy with a strong belief in human rights. I assume you are British, and as such, share the freedoms of all its citizens. If you wish to ban anything you personally do not agree with, you do not deserve to be British and may find living in a more restrictive society more to your taste. I wish you luck.

No as you will be taking personal rights away & that will distroy us being a free country.
They just have to accept the each person has his or her own right to their opnion, and that we have our own beliefe system, and that if they do not like it, that they have to still accept what we believe.
Just like when we go to their country we have to do as their country's laws say.

Why do you want to blame all other religions for the fault of one.
Ban the guilty one, by all means.
Apart from, one (which we all know about) which other religion has caused so much misery, worldwide?

Of course not, but for the past 20 years Immigration should have been checking more carefully some of these imams who have brought their hatred of the west and its values into this country.

Band? You want them to play music? ;-)

If you mean "banned," why in the world would you do that? No religion should be banned, but people who use their religion as an excuse to break the law or do violence should be punished for doing so.
If you're going to ban anything, ban christianity -- christians doing "god's will" has been the cause of more violence, war, and death in europe than any other single cause...
