just like when the silverware fall and with the old saying someone is coming as a visitor, a spoon for a woman and a fork for a guy. or perhaps when a mirror broke and it will relates to 7 years bad luck, unless you throw it with the water flowing like a river then it will not come true?

just curious if others believe that there is a truth to it..

Aside from the teaching in the service, something BEAUTIFUL happened that I want to share with you all.

A dear friend of mine was dealing with some disappointment in her life today and since things did not work out as she had hoped she decided to help out in the nursery during the service...

Can you believe... A new baby showed up and my friend was able to care for the little one. The baby's name was, "FAITH!"

That made me gasp. What a beautiful way that God reassured my friend in her time of disappointment, that He was taking care of everything! What a beautiful way to remind her to "Have Faith!"

It was as if God spoke right to her and said, "Here have 'Faith' as a little child!"

You know what makes me mad? Is that it's not ok to say "Merry Christmas" out in public bc its too offensive for some reason. And it is not ok to say stuff like "God love you" but its ok to say "Budda is awesome", taking God out of society seems like a sign of The Rapture.

As people who have been frequently reading my posts would know, I am 24 yr old man who have endured severe depression and lust problem for the past 8 years. It is my flaws, weaknesses which I have tried extremely hard to get rid of.
I hate them so much that I even hate thinking about it. It gives me so much pains thinking about all the pains they are giving/have given me in my life. So far in my life, all my efforts have been futile or unsuccessful to overcome them. It feels weird sometimes because I have been able to stay free from drugs, alcohol, tobacco, sex, but not these 2 problems.
Some people suggested to me that maybe I should accept them as part of who I am instead of torturing myself over not being able to overcome them.
How can I accept things that have given me indescribable pains in my life as part of who I am?

what is your understanding about one of the ten commandments saying... "You shall not make for yourself an idol, whether in the image of anything that is in heaven above, or that is on the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. 5You shall not BOW down to them or worship them"

If you think you can prove it, anwer my questions and take me to a sight where I can see actual fossils were a fish is gradually turning into a frog or a monkey is gradually turning into a human. No cartoons ok. I need actual photos of fossils.

1) How is it that the celeocanth, a species that has existed for 60 million years, hasn't change one bit. the celeocanth isn't the only example either. THere are also sharks, lizards, and crocodiles.

2) how do cells bond to make bigger creatures. Give me a chemical formula or some solid biological proof that they can. THey had to if everything evolved from a single celled lifeform.

3) how do we know that the archeoptyrex wasn't just some weird animal like the platypus. WHo says that it was a cross between a bird and a dinosaur.

4) how can we be the descendants of bacteria or other single celled lifeforms? If thats true, then every time we wash our hands with anti-bacterial soap, we kill our ancestors.

....do you give it to them, walk straight on and ignore them, or tell them, like you would any other person, that you will not give them change, in order to not ignore them, (that would be a lack of respect, after all) and, of course, not have to give them change.

And please, none of you give me any of that "thou shalt be generous" crap, of course I can afford to give homeless people all the change they want, but so can you and I am certain that at one point or another in life you've been "ungenerous". This is etiquette, not ethics.

FINE PRINT: Furthermore, I would like to be clear on the fact that I am not in any way implying or otherwise stating that homeless people are dirty lazy disgusting no good crack-smoking child-selling ranting raving useless urban gutter trash. I am forced to be very clear here, I just posted something on the retards amongst us, and almost got shot in the face for that, apparently not all people can read well when they rush thru something on a screen.

I really think the only thing that will change peoples' religious beliefs is time. As time goes by, people will gradually come to accept that science is the only way to knowledge about the world. Feelings and hearsay don't hold up.
