It is getting close to Halloween, stories have started to pull those things and started putting up for Christmas. Christmas political is being change to winter holiday. I remeber when we did things for all holidays in their months. Do you feel any lost because of this?

homesexuality
or any other political mess in life
don't get me wrong that i grew up with a homosexual brother but we had to except it as a family but , now i don't feel i have to except it no more since he died from aids. i work with homosexuals all day and see them at the salon etc. throughout life but do u think its being forced on our society to except the lifestyle and the tv commercials , shows etc. i love and miss my brother but at age 12 you accept alot because you don't understand it and you don't want to treat them like and outcast either at age 12, but now you understand alot more in the 30's than u did as a kid?

I feel that I do not have the ability to decide from all the world's religions which one is correct. What makes religious people so certain that they havn't chosen incorrectly? Are they really THAT sure of themselves?

I saw something on the history channel the other day that the righteous would oversee the punishment of everyone else.

To me that's why Jesus judges us is because he knows what it's like to be human, I guess he just chooses those that are pure enough of heart to make good/fair judges.

what made the "flip" in society?


historians tell us that society began as matriarchal..meaning the women were in power over men, but it was in a different way. women were revered for their fertility, and "fertility" was understood as a concept that had more than one level of meaning to it.

can someone tell me when we switched from being martriarchal societies (women in power) to patriarchal societies (men in power) and the circumstances that caused this big change?
