I am a Christian. Is it wrong be cremated?

No it is not. I am a Christian also and I am going to be cremated. Read the Book of Samuel it speaks of cremation. !st & 2nd to get the whole picture. It will set your mind at ease

The Catholic Church allows it provided (1) that it is not done for any reason contrary to the gospel (which basically means because of a lack of belief in the afterlife); and (2) the ashes are treated with the same respect as the dead body would be. In other words, you can't throw them in the ocean or over your favorite racetrack. They must be either buried or placed in an appropriate place such as a mausoleum.

No. I think it's better than wasting so much space in the ground. Many people still cannot accept this, but it is becoming much more popular. I even cremated my dog. I couldn't bear the thought of burying her in my yard and then one day moving and leaving her behind.

it used to be a no-no -- if not with Christians then just Catholics. Nowadays it's a little more relaxed and allowed.
However, if for nothing else just convenience, I would wait until you were dead to do this. Doing it beforehand will ruin your shirt and is very likely to make you late for work the next morning.
