What do you think of that, would you mind having to learn for a year (and pay for a year) if it'll make you and everyone else safer?

hey.. are you asian..?
cos I'm asian too.. I need your advice...
well.. the case is.. We just moved in... Like.. last May... I'm currently studying in the US as a 10th grader... I'm having problem making friends.. well.. I have some friends.. but you can count them.. Maybe because I'm shy... I dont speak unless spoken to.. But I can speak english very fluently... and they can understand me easily... (I came from an english speaking country)
1 of my problem is I get so shy during conversations... Or.. I'm not even that confident to say "hi"... I mean... back from my homeland... I'm super confident.. I have tons and tons of friends... I dont know what happened to me... or is it just natural in the first months?? and.. another thing, I'm super shy in our class participation... We already had like... 3 weeks of class and I have recited only 5 times.. I'm shy.. because I dont want to see people laughing at me specially when times like I make mistakes with my speech..
I would just like to know.. are asians viewed as... like...
"under" the whites or something...? well.. tnx for your advices!!! GODBLESS!!

Being legalized in the states will somehow make this contry better? Happier maybe?

I just want your opinon on these issues. If you could only choose TWO to be legalized which ones would you choose and why?

who is (well was) a christian. she attended church and read the bible and want(ed) to get saved. well now she says that she dont believe in heaven or hell and that jesus is really hard to believe in. im worried about her. i have her in my prayer right now and i wonder if you have any advice. god bless you all. im gonna try to get her to church sunday.

This is an extension of my previous question. I believe that a person can learn the concept about being a good person by their faith, however, does it actually just come down to what these people learn in their churches?

Many claim that they have a direct relationship with god, but the concept or being has never been proven. So, people do not have conversations with him. They pray with no answers.

There are so many different bible translations out there from the KJV to the CEV to the New world translation of the holy scriptures. Whenever i am stufying my bible i have to wonder if i am studying the right thing i just wish there wa one bible in the christian congregation that they would all study out of.

So why do people do this, is it because you feel a natural closeness to a person similar to you or do you have a game plan like "Im looking for this kind of person to hang with because I feel thier better for me than you, even if you are being nice to me"?
what gives people?

It's funny. I recently join a club at my college ( concert committee) and we help set up concerts. I just started realizing how people "size you up". I try talking to everyone and being open, only to find this "bird of a feather" mentality. Party chicks will only talk to me until other party chicks come around. Same with jocks, goths, band heads, minorities, etc. I never got this before, I always felt that if your open, kind and willing to "be a friend to have a friend" then they should come. Well thats not how it works, silly me huh?

but Im still gonna talk to whomever I feel like.
