I was at a Happy Hour with coworkers last Friday night and the alcohol was flowing. As the night started to wind down I was there with 2str8 male co workers. We were loaded and shooting the breeze when one of them says "I'm so f*cked up that I'm not going to remember a thing in the morning. We both agreed and laughed. I said "Good, so how about you both take turns bl*wing me??. Long story short..after a few more beers we three crashed at one of the coworker's apartments who lived within walking distance. All three of us ended up having sex that night. The next day no one mentions a thing about what happened.I guess my questions is, do you think that these str8 guys REALLY don't remember due to the alcohol or are they just keeping mum about it. All I know is that I remember bits and pieces from that night.

I was raised Christian and always read the Bible and believed it. Well, mostly because I believe in evolution and don't think homosexuality is a sin that sort of thing. But mostly I was a devout Christian.

But I just realized today that the Bible is a two thousand year old translation of an extinct language and we don't have any original copies. I still believe in Jesus and in God but am I supposed to believe that nobody messed with original copies? No 12th century scribes put in their own little stories or cut something out? I haven't gotten any straight answers from anyone at church or Boy Scouts. Nobody around me seems to have thought of this before. I mean, faced with all that how am I supposed to read the Scriptures and accept them as the word of Jesus? I only want to do right by God in my life, and not believing in the Bible is a sin, isn't it?

This is really confusing me right now. What can I do?

I RSVP'd for a friends baby shower, and was unable to make it. (Personal reason, regarding a family memer) I called her the next morning, and left her a voicemail becasue she didnt answer her phone. I gave her a brief description of why I was unable to make it, gave her my apologies, told her I hope she had a GREAT time, and also told her I did have her gift at my house. She never responded its been two weeks and when I did speak to her she acted as if she was mad, and she never returned my original phone call. Am I wrong or is she childish, how would you deal with it?

I'm always reading here about God pouring His wrath out on unbelievers. Why is God so childish, vain and petulant? If he is perfect and all sufficient in and of himself, then how can anything we do or don't do harm or diminish him in any way? When humans get this attitude we call them megalomaniacs, tyrants or two year olds. Shouldn't a god be at least mature and rational and not ready to torture for eternity anyone who doesn't flatter him? This God is just a bully, not someone to worship and certainly not to adore. I think believers take on the role of abused children who tell daddy how great he is so daddy won't have another tantrum and kill all the firstborn.

I mean when you die, your worldy knowledge will die with you. Your brain dies just like all your other organs. Maybe your soul is stupid compared to an animal's soul. How would you know?

remember when you were younger and you always had to play with your annoying little brothers and sisters?
Me and my cousins came up with an ingenious plan once, to solve this.
We let our little siblings play with us, but we would play this game where we were "otters" and we said that the young ones had to be the baby otters, we told them that this meant that they were helpless, blind and couldn't move much.
All we had to do was chuck them a teddybear("aFISH") every now and then for food, and could concentrate on whatever we were doin.
Were we the most evil children ever?

OKAY.... Seriously. I went to a convenient store today and they had small bags of White Dirt for sale. I thought this to be a really strange novelty item so I asked the clerk why they sold and how much they sold. He informed me that it sold quite well and people EAT IT!!!!! Okay, if this is a southern thing, I am embarrassed for the south. Has anyone else heard of this and is it a "practice" in other parts of the US??

I can think of a couple things:
--For one thing, I realized that if the USA was actually taken over, our precious Consititution and Bill of Rights would be nothing but a historical document.

--I realized that the USA is not invincible from attack.

--Also, I realized that you should never, ever, blindly follow what some religous leader tells you! Unquestioning faith can cause people to do horrible things sometimes!

Now it's your turn.
