Wow, that's a tough one! I love them all so much!!
One of the best has to be the one about the two men who go to pray.
The first man is basically telling God what a great guy he is...I think we all have fallen into that trap at least once, don't you?
But the second guy knows exactly what he is...a sinner. He has enough sense to realize that he has no right to so much as raise his eyes in God's presence...and he begs God to be merciful.
Jesus tells us that it is the second guy who is "justified". A great lesson for every Christian to take to heart!!

Mine is the mustard seed to.I would also recommend The Song of Solomon it's a parable to His church. My sister, lover, mother, all are references to His church. It speaks of a woman's breast . This is the old and new testaments.I know when I first started reading it I found it embarrassing .Mainly because I viewed it the way the flesh wanted me to.But when I put off the flesh and looked in the Spirit new light came and I was blessed. It's a marriage taking place and it's not sexual or even psychical. No this is totally Spiritual .Remember Jesus telling the Sadducee's that in heaven that we are not given in marriage. That's because as humans we see marriage in a different way than God does.I hope I have made some sense here and others can be blessed in whatever the need.

The parable about the mustard seed is actually a joke. The mustard plant doesn't grow up to be great and magnificent, it is just a scrub bush. He was just making a joke.

Definitely the parable of the Talents. So much is given to us from Him, it is a matter of justice, love and gratitude to work what He has given to us in the benefit of humanity.

I don't know if it's considered a parable, but I like the story about the widow's mite.

...I think my favorite is the prodigal son, who takes his inheritance, wastes it in loose living, and ends up feeding the pigs. After a long time finally he returns home to find a caring, loving father. He goes to his father and confesses his sin and asks to become only a hired man, but what he finds is a loving, forgiving father who joyfully receives him back.
...It reminds me of my teen years - I was a wild and arrogant teenager. My father and step-mother kept on loving me, when many times I was not too lovable or loving. They kept on loving me regardless of how bad I was.
...At age 21 I began to search for truth and meaning in life, and I trusted in Jesus as my Lord and Savior.

about it being easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the Kingdom of Heaven.
