Several times, just when Pharoah was about to let the Jews go free, God steps in and hardens his heart, forcing Pharoah to keep hold of his grip. If god had not interfered, Pharoah would have freed the jews earlier and there would have been no need for god to slaughter all of egypts first born children...

Considering how often the bible god murders or orders the murders of baby's, it seems maybe god kept hardening Pharoahs heart so all those children would die?

How do you think the societies and/or cultures of North and South America would have turned out if Europeans never took the initiative to explore new lands, and somehow found a way to fully support themselves economically and control over-population? Would both Europeans and Native Americans have progressed or developed differently? What's your take on this?

I just noticed that someone who answered one of my questions said that "faith is when you believe something that your brain tells you is incorrect". I've always believed that reason is a necessary part of my faith. I believe that without reasons to back up our faith, we risk being like the seed that grows and has no root in Jesus' parable. I also think that reason helps us explain our beliefs to other people and to convince them of the truth. What do you guys think? Are reason and faith compatable? Do we need to have reasons for what we believe? If not, then what kinds of things should we believe by faith alone?

I need a very good translator to translate the following phrases
And please don't send me a link to Babelfish Translation or some other online service (as if I didn't already know where they're located). I want an answer from an actual human being with a background in grammatically correct French.

1. My Friend asks: "How long have you been Studying French?"
2. We have been studying French for two years.
3. We love the teacher and we help her.
4. We put everything in order.
5. Everyone cleans the desks.
6. We erase the chalkboard.
7. We begin the lesson on time.
8. We correct the homework in class.

I would really appreciate any help from anyone, I already have these phrases translated in my own words, but since my French is weak, I need the correct answer to check my mistakes.
Thanks~

The reason why we have widespread use of drugs, reckless drinking, irresponsible sex, etc., in my opinion, is that we don't address these issues enough in children as they grow up. Case in point, the overall structure and atmosphere is too lenient.

Wouldn't raising our children stricter ensure that these problems wouldn't be as widespread? Just consider this; if we RAISE the standards of what we allow our children to do (i.e. being more forceful), then the corresponding actions they'll do as they grow up will be less... of a problem.

Ideas? Thoughts? And for the record, this doesn't involve religion or other outside influences; this just involves a more PRACTICAL solution, which is simply to start raising our children with less leeway, and start actually instilling in them the need to at least TRY to be as pure and clean as possible.

Are u notified of it? People keep saying they are reporting me for abuse but I haven't got any notification. If they review a report and it's insubstantial then is that why they don't send a notification to u?

I'm just wondering....

Although now that i think about it i don't know why I'm even wondering.

Because none of my questions violate the community guidelines.

If anyone has answers I would be glad to hear them.

This book, borrowed and never returned to me years ago, had as its plot a man in I think Oregon who realized that he had been Saul of Tarsus in a prior life. I think I bought it in the metaphysics section of Barnes & Noble.

If you have a copy of the book, please give me the actual title, author, and ideally also the ISBN

Thank you

I remember my so-called friend revealing my crush to her and she adamantly throwing my puppy luv back in my face. She broke my heart. Im 22 now and I still remember my lst crush. What about you?
