because religion does not seems to deliver compassion to the rich

Religion remains the last solace for the down-trodden and the underpriviledged. That was why Karl Marx called religion the opium of the people. It soothes their fraustrations and gives them a false hope, a consolation if you like that gives them an assurance that they, the poor will eventually inherit the earth and live happily thereafter while those that oppress them now woulld be condemned and suffer for eternal life.. This is what attracts the poor to religion.

We really do not know poor people. If we are writing on the Internet. If you have visited some of the countries like Russia, Romania, or China you may have seen some poor people. We are certainly wealthy here.

Because the bible says that we will always have the poor among us, and that details that all of us are not just made to be rich or wealthy.There is no other explanation. Now God wants us to prosper and be in good health. But people sometimes do things to make themselves poor by their living endownments.

Well, I will only speak for Christianity (biblical).
God gives us what we need, not always what we want.
If having untold riches here on earth meant that my walk with God would be harmed, I will go with what I do have and be thankful for it.
I have seen people living in conditions that here in american we would find deplorable. Mud huts with no water or sanitation and they still know that they have what they need and although they pray for what they want, they know that God is in control and stay thankful for what they do have.

Because people have different incomes and spending habits. Religion has little to do with it.
