The obligation that we (mankind) have for one-another; We are all in this together. On a lighter side, Some one is chocking in a restaurant, do we simply walk away or do Heimlich maneuver or what about some person or animal is trapped in a burning building crying out for help.Would you at least not take your cell phone out of your pocket and call 911. So look at your self and decide how not how much we can help someone else but how far are we willing to go. On the other side of the coin How much do we expect from someone else when we might be in distress.Last but not least what would if feel like to live in guiltless society with no conscious or feelings for his/her fellow man.....

To carry through with my promises and commitments.

What each person chooses to do is up to them. I don't think anyone is obligated to "fix" mankind in general, because each person is ultiamtely in control of their own life. If someone asks for my help, then I will decide whether to give it. But I dont' meddle in other people's lifes just because I think they have a problem.

To meet needs physical as well as spiritual

God's Gospel:

"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;" Romans 3:23

"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Romans 6:23

"But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16

"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." Romans 10:9-10

To minister to their needs both physical and spiritual. It is just as important to provide food and medicine as it is to provide the Gospel.
