Wow, sounds like you've been having an interesting time today in answers. The Bible was written for everyone, every human. Period. I hear what you're saying dear :)

The Bible was written for anyone, but it seems that only Christians and Jews believe any of it these days. No we aren't crazy and the yummy kool-aid you are referring to was not from a born again crowd. Jim Jones thought he was God.

Ignorance reigns supreme in this country, and most especially in religion. I am a "born-again" Christian, but understand that the Bible was written for the Hebrew people. It is their history, their story, and their guidebook to life. Without Christ, we, the non-Hebrews, would have no reason or right to follow the book. Without the acceptance of Christ, it is STILL none of our business. Remember the old rule: a person is relatively smart - people, as in the masses, are quite stupid.

dazzling question. Protestants is merely no longer waiting to supply a coherent answer by using fact they deny Jesus' coaching in John 6. Like a lot of his early disciples, Protestants say, "this may be a stressful coaching. Who can settle for it?" Then, on a similar time as at present, "From this time a lot of his disciples grew to become back and no longer accompanied him." whether they know the actuality of Jesus' teachings, their ministers don't have the authority to desire the telling prayer, "enable your Spirit come upon those presents that they might substitute into for us the physique and blood of our Lord Jesus Christ." All that leaves is crackers, grape juice, and symbolism. Cheers, Bruce

Is that the whole Bible? There are lots of books in there that I'm sure the attributed authors had no idea what a Christian was, nevermind a born-again one. I think they are all Aesop fables.

I gave up drinking church kill-aid. Jim Jones bought it all.

The Bible is the Word of God to All Human Being. Not to Christians, not to Buddhist, not to Muslims but to every human being on the planet of Earth. If someone told something different than this, it is your mistake to listen to him. You should, as a matter of fact, tell him that he is an idiot and he is truly brainwashed.

Who in their right mind says THAT?!?!?

I'm a Christian and that is one of the stupidest things I've ever heard. Not all branches of Christianity believe in being "born again", most believe in being saved. But the Bible is not for just some select groups of people, it's for everyone.

Seriously, who the hell says that?

The bible was written for the people who had something to say. A sort of potpourri of fact spiced up with a dash of imagination.

What's cooking in the kitchen today?

I have a friend who did her PhD research on biblical belief in isolated Appalachian communities. She fled under fear of death from a town in Kentucky for asking during a group interview if the congegation of the town church were aware Jesus did not speak English. I told her she was lucky she didn't mention he may not have been white.
