Is THAT why Muslim women cover themselves? Or is it because their husbands dominate them?

Weird situation came up this morning. I was walking to a store from my car. A woman was also walking slightly ahead of me. I increased my pace in an attempt to get to the door before her, to hold it for her. However, she sped up faster than I did and beat me to it. She was my age, and held the door for me. It was an ackward situation, where I had the following choices:

A) Walk through the door, shrug it off, and forget about it. Attempt to grab the 2nd door as I go in.

B) Grab the door from her as she's holding it. (not as forceful as it sounds)


What would you have done in that situation? Women, what would you prefer I would have done?

I'm not cool with it and I believe we are capable of being better than this. I know it's prophecy, but prophecies can be changed. Time is the 4th dimension and not fluid, it is possible scenarios. I do not consider myself religious but one who believes in God and I like to ask and have answers about what I believe in...not hear rude gesture. I dont agree with other religions but I dont go out of my way to be nasty about it. God made us to have our own free-will ..to chose him or not...he is not forcing us to serve him. We are not to judge but be witnesses of his love..I haven't seen in here where christians have made jokes and asked the wicca religion .. why they worship trees or why hasn't their spells worked lately? nor the off branch of wicca.. dianic why or if they r predjudice against males? since its only women worshipping a mytholigical woman which is daughter of a planet (jupiter) or scientology. What did u come back as? etc. If that is their belief fine,but then I was thinking if religious people do not like christians, why are they so eager to make a sarcastic or rude reply if the dont want to hear or read about a christians god, why even upset yourself by replying?

I was reading "Things Fall Apart" by Chinua Achebe and it is set in Africa, just before the white Christians come to spread their "lunatic religion" (Achebe's quote). So what do Christians think happen to people who have or could not have had an opportunity to convert to Christianity? Do they believe they go to Hell?

There is no factual evidence that God exists, has ever existed, or will ever exist, but there is an abundance of man-made speculative conjecture and wishful thinking (commonly referred to as lies) that organised religions put forward, stating that God does in fact exist. Sadly, many innocent gullible minds have become religious based on these false facts (lies).

Furthermore, religion is responsible for the majority of wars, conflict and murder of innocent life since humanity began. There is considerable evidence to classify religion as evil. There are many major religions in the world, such as Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, Sikhism, Judaism, etc. Talk to any devout religious person and they will almost emphatically insist that their religion is the right one (it’s fact) all the other religions are wrong, and any non-believer is doomed.

In summary for God and Religion we have, lies, violence, abuse, killing, murder, wars, and so on. Is that a healthy way to live?
