Is THAT why Muslim women cover themselves? Or is it because their husbands dominate them?

Another New Testament verse may have bearing on Genesis 6. In I Corinthians 11:10, Paul instructs that a woman should cover her head as a sign of subjection to her husband, and also "because of the angels." This observation has intrigued commentators through the years. Why this sudden reference to angels? Could it be a reference to what happened in Genesis 6 where angels succumbed to the inducements and physical charm of the women of Earth? Obviously, Paul believed that an uncovered woman was a temptation even to angels. William Barclay mentions an old rabbinic tradition which alleges that it was the beauty of the women's long hair that attracted and tempted the angels in Genesis. (6)

Many cultures in Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, etc have women cover their bodies, faces, etc because they believe a woman should be for her husband to see. Showing flesh plants seeds and perpetuates rape, pornography, and makes for a horny society. Then there are some things about Arab women where they are not allowed to get education. I ain't down with that.

Women from the Middle East usually cover themselves, because society is extremely different over there. It is a common fact over there that women are filthy and highly inferior compared to men. If one has guests over, they put the men in one room and the women in another separate room. A woman cannot shake a man's hand because of how "filthy" they are. That is why they cover themselves up, so that men from the Middle East don't have to look at their ugliness. That's how common everyday society is for them over there.

Maybe they choose that. Why don't you ask one. The Muslim women I have met are very happy. Maybe that threatens some people.
