My daughter will have her sixth birthday party on Saturday. We are having it here at our house in the backyard (cookout). I am alarmed to realize that the majority of the parents plan on staying, and bringing toddlers! Because we have a pool, and it is NOT a pool party, I am concerned about the small children around the pool. There is just no way I can safely keep track of the siblings, and it is also an inconvenience because I was not planning on providing meals for eleven parents and eight siblings of the invitees! How do I graciously get myself out of this mess? I am amazed at how rude and PRESUMPTUOUS people can be! When my children were toddlers, and they were invited to a party, I would ask the parent hosting if they minded if I stayed to help out. I did not bring the siblings, and this way, when the kids were very young, there were more eyes to watch them. I also never ate. Is it wrong to think that at six years old, the parents should not assume they were invited, as well?

I understand that slang and shorthand make things quicker, but come on. I have a hard time even understanding what the question/answer is half the time.

it's one of my biggest pet peeves.....when I'm standing in line at a grocery store, post office, wherever, and someone stands sooooo close to me, even though there is no need (like, if we are the only people in line). Does this bother you too?

I am pregnant with my second child. My little boy is 4 1/2 years old and I am almost 5 months pregnant. My dads wife is throwing me a baby shower and I am afriad to invite my in-laws because they made a comment about how rude it is to have another one. I did not ask to have another shower but it would be great. I find out in a few weeks if its a boy or a girl and if its a girl then I am definatly going to need to have a shower. My thoughts are to just enjoy my shower without them. It will be five years since I had my son and I think that is long enough to have another shower. Please help me, I have to deal with enough from my in-laws and this is just one more thing for them to hate me for.

I am an impoverished transexual who will NOT be able to secure a 'REAL ID' when the law takes effect. Ohio refuses to change my birth certificate from male to female..five years after sex reassignment. So I will NOT be granted a passport and WILL NOT be allowed to leave the country. Seeking funds for relocation to a more humane society. Any help will be GREATLY appreciated. I have heard that Spain is a much more tolerant place. Of course as a 55 year old tranny girl, employment is impossible in this little town of 1500 people. I still have a few good years left and would like to spend them in a place where our essential human-ness is revered for it's inherent value. I need to know if I can legally request donations from a charitable person or organization. This is A SERIOUS REQUEST. Not a joke. My future freedom is at stake, please help me.
